A while back I bought a gloss black grille overlay to cover the chrome (from Aliexpress) on my EX-L sedan. I wound up removing it for two reasons. One, I wasn't sold on the look with my dark Cosmic Blue and two, the fake 3M tape that came with it didn't hold.

Fast forward a few months and I'm trying again. This time I added genuine 3M tape and it's holding. I'm still not 100% on the look but I can always remove it if I get tired of it.

Do you happen to still have the link for this from AliExpress?

The seller I bought from no longer carries this. You can probably find them on Ebay.

You say "grille overlay".......does that mean it just sticks to the existing grill? Or is this a full swap? I can't find anything that just covers the existing grill anywhere.

Are you talking about this piece? If so, the color doesn't match the eyebrows

Interesting thanks. I was hoping it was substantially cheaper. For just a few bucks more I can get the real deal replacement grill.

Why not just replace with black painted grille or just plasti dip? Plasti dip is cheap, easy, and can look really clean. Especially if you use a glossifier. Plasti Dip brand black and the glossifier comes out pretty close to the OEM black paint to the point where it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

If I'm not mistaken, the OEM replacement grill is over 4 times more expensive at around $360.00 (https://www.hondapartscheap.com/aut...-engine/interior-bumper-cat/front-grille-scat). These ebay grill overlays are a good alternative; however, you definitely are at risk for fitment issues and I never liked how the gloss black overlays look in contrast to the matte black lower part of the grill.

I got a full black honeycomb grill from ebay for around $108 shpped, installed it and it looks amazing and is great value for money. That's the way I would go.

The gloss replacement grill (full grill and eyelids) are going for between $104-$115 shipped on the 'bay and the 'zon.
