I have the Thermal R&D full exhaust and front pipe and i LOVE it! The sound is perfect it makes a nice growl noise when you get on it but at low idle and driving on the highway its very quiet so you don't get annoyed with it.

Hey guys,

I'm from Australia and have a 2017 vti-l model (1.5L turbo without some trim).

Due to this it has the stock looking rear. Would any of the "sports" exhausts fit the model or would I need to be looking at a customer set of tips for it?

Not unless you change or modify your rear bumper.... (the rear valence) but there are ample amounts of exhausts for sedans out there. The middle exit on the sport models is actually harder to accommodate large mufflers into, whereas a corner exit will give you more room to play if you did anything custom.

the thermal r&d stuff i have run before is seriously the nicest exhaust gear i've ever seen or used. it's likely that some of the nicest stuff you've used is white labeled tr&d gear ;)

Probably, but since Hondata stopped support for disabling the 2nd o2, I’d rather keep the cat on. Plus, the delete is a perma weld, so I can’t just plop the muff and reso back on. I’d have to take it back to the muff shop and pay $100 bucks to have it all welded back on.
in general, you should have your exhaust fabricator weld v-bands onto the cut and joint points of the modified exhaust. i'm probably going to do a muffler delete and run a straight pipe to an off the shelf exhaust tip; my fab and i have talked about it though and for a number of good reasons (inspection, ends up being too loud after xyz, whatever), it makes the most sense to convert the OEM exhaust to v-band at the axle before the muffler split and then weld a flange onto the new axleback, which in this case will just be a straight pipe with an off the shelf exhaust tip.

to be clear though, the only reason i didn't just pick up the thermal r&d full piping is that the OEM exhaust is nearly optimal in terms of performance, the only reason to do a muffler delete is to tune the exhaust noise a bit.

I hope you guys will offer different tip options, while i appreciate the uniqueness of these, i think it's a little excessive! again, just comes down to my preference...

As a designer I can respect this exhaust design in as far as 99% of it. The sound in the middle version is good and there are even above and below versions to please everyone, but there is a bit of overkill look to it ...from below at least. I think the tips also look large. I guess 2-3 tips or one wide one may look better or perhaps smaller tips. Honda owner's like myself appreciate "form following function" and simple practicality.

Greddy supreme on my si sedan. Love the subtle sound. I didnt want anything too loud being in my 30's now and this setup hit the spot.
Can you get a picture of it from the back, I’m thinking about getting this too for my si sedan and I’m not sure how it would look with the two exhaust lower than stock, wish they made it look the same as the sport hatch

Since when? They have the secondary o2 delete...........when did they stop it? Last time I liked under the "mod" drop down menu it was there......
