I had my car keys in my pocket for a few hours doing tasks around my friends house that required bending and I came out the next morning to find all my windows in my car we're cracked open!! It's a good thing I have window visors because it rained that night and it saved me

I discovered that the mighty H decided to put window control commands in the key fob for some reason? Holding the unlock button down cracks all the windows and there's even one that will roll all your windows down almost completely which leaves your car unprotected from the weather and completely vulnerable to thieves and cats. Is there anyway to disable this stupid function? I have a 2018 Civic Hatchback Sport

I expect you should be able to disable the feature. I don't have it with my LX, I don't believe, but I find that similar controls (ie one button press to unlock the doors, disable auto-locking doors) are fairly easy to program.

I don’t think you can disable it, maybe if you have the upgraded head unit on the sport touring but I don’t think it’s possible with the base sport.

If you click unlock then click and hold unlock the windows will roll down.

Not sure if it’s something the dealer could disable or not

I've had my car for 2 years, and it's happened twice to me.

I keep my keys in the same pocket as my wallet - this hasn't happened in almost two years of ownership. You have to hold the unlock button for a while before the windows/sunroof open.

My car is typically far enough away that the window trick hasn't happened (though I expect it to any time now) but I also had trunk popping 2 or 3 times a few days ago. Luckily the speedometer told me it was open before I took off down the highway.

Must be wearing some tight jeans bro. I have to try to get the windows to roll down with my remote. Wasn't even sure if it worked the first couple of times doing it on purpose.

I've owned cars with this feature for the past 15 years, I don't think I've ever rolled down the windows by accident. Have accidentally activated the alarm a few times though from items in my pockets pushing the button.

Close to 3 years for me, never had an issue, but I only keep my key & my money clip in the same pocket.

The first night I had my car, I popped the trunk open somehow from the key and water got in. It got right up to the very top of the trunk liner which fortunately was somehow in the car (I didn't pay for it).

I think you can do it in the settings on the touchscreen.
