Has any company came out with axle back exhausts for the Si’s?

Since what I’ve gathered here on the forum and read. There’s not much if any to gain whp wise after the down/front pipe combo. Meaning that the exhaust is just for looks and sound.

If that’s the case, why hasn’t any company came up with just an axle back with single, dual, tri, or quad tip options that basically bolts onto stock piping that our rear mufflers connect to to?

Several companies out there have them for different platforms. Can someone look into this for us?

Sucks that you'd have to chop the stock exhaust up just to change the axle back since the exhaust is all one piece. Since you have to cut the exhaust, you can use any tip you find for sale.

The stock exhaust is one piece that goes quite far up the car. In order to install an axle back, the customer would have to cut the stock exhaust. That's why you dont see it. It's easier to install a catback because there would be no cutting.

Forgot about that, easier thing would be to have one mocked up by company making it to where it’s at the straighting point in piping, then have that part flanged and have muffler shop cut and weld in flange.

Not so hard and would answer a demand for one exhaust tips and muffler delete while retaining stock resonator and piping. Not exactly breaking the bank.

At that last weld point that leads to the midpipe after the mufflers, that would be a great point to cut and flange there. Just saying.

Any exhaust shop can do what you said for cheaper than the cost of an axleback. If you paid for an axleback, you'd have to take it to a shop for the cut anyway unless you diy.
