What audio system do you have, and what do you intend to do (Or already have done) to improve it. ?

What did you find lacking with the OEM system, and how is your system better after your upgrade ?

I always do a sub and amp upgrade, regardless how the sound system is. This factory system lacks in almost every category. But I'm fine right now with just adding a sub and amp. My 8thgen (which I totalled after Christmas) had this same setup but factory speakers were going out, so the 10gen speakers are like an upgrade for me.

I do plan on eventually replacing the headunit when they have more options. The only other audio related thing I might do til then is maybe take the factory anti-glare coating off of the head unit to get more clarity. Other than that, I'm all smiles

BTW, I used velcro tape to hold down my amp and keep my box from sliding all over. Bought it from the dollar store. Works like a charm, even when I'm vroom vroomin.

• Center speaker upgrade.

Started with sound dampening and components. Once I added those and addressed the rattles I was actually mostly satisfied with the system. I had already ordered the sub and amp though, so I proceeded to have them installed.

The bass rolloff was pretty noticeable in the stock system and the midbass was very lacking before prepping the doors. Vocals and highs have better clarity with center upgrade. Changing out the rear tweeters was pretty inconsequential. I wouldn't recommend it

Overall I'm satisfied with with what I've done. In retrospect, I found the best value in sound dampening and changing the front speakers
