I just had to restore my other car's headlights due to fogging and I would like to prevent this from happening to my civic...

Is anyone using the Lamin-x film on their headlights and fog lights?

I'm thinking about putting on some clear ones but I read online that they can cause headlight cracking due to heat retention. All these reports are from forums for other cars though.

Has anyone had this issue?

Looks sweet! Did you leave the headlights alone?
Yes, the headlights look difficult....because of the angles and protruding parts. I figure it's a daily driver so it's not going to be perfect. The fog lights took 5 minutes to install. Sprayed warm soapy water on them and had a hair dryer. Used my fingers starting in the center and worked out the bubbles. The fog lights are low to the ground so I think it's good to have them protected. There's small tabs you'll need to cut off.

Anyone knows what those little tabs are for?

Its so you can grip them without leaving fingerprints I would guess.

Also lights are coated from the factory. Adding more "spray coating" would have unknown results. Laminix is the way to go if you are willing to shell out the money.
