Anyone else not a fan of the looks of the rounded flared front fenders?

ive been thinking about it lately after looking at pics of my 8th and 9th gen si coupes and it really made me miss the look of the straight down angled fenders. they look a lot more aggressive to me, especially seeing them in person.

the fenders on out 10th gens almost remind me of mazda fenders.

i love everything else about the looks of the car just not the fenders. anyone else think the fenders and hoods looked better on the previous gens?

I'm with you. To be honest, I don't love the look of the 9th gens, the 8th gen Si sedans I always liked, but I'm in full agreement on the fenders.

From some angles they look fine and from others, it just looks....I don't even know, it can be unpleasant to the eye. I'm a little annoyed because I just got out of a bubble-fendered Mazda and here they are again on my Civic.

Anyways, obviously a minor nit but I totally see what you're saying.

yes the worst angle is probably complete side angle. the bubbled look is less sporty looking while the straight slanted fenders give a more aggressive looking stance.

if honda stuck with the straight fenders this gen si would look mean as hell

I dunno, I kinda thought about this, but I’m really liking the new 10th front fenders. I also prefer our more blunt nose over the earlier gens. It’s our overly long rear overhang and unpainted mesh I’m too conscious of.
But not taking anything away from those earlier gen fenders or overall Si. Very pretty cars in person

the more i see 9th gen si coupes on the road the more it makes me miss mine. they really were sleeker looking that the current si coupes. they almost look like an extension of the 8th gen; whereas, the 10th gen looks like a whole different animal.

had a feeling yours was black. Still sexy though. The silver spoked rims are just gorgeous!

and the hfp kit like on that one really gave it that hot look. shifting all the way to 7200 rpm and that vtec.. i miss that. man youre making me all nostalgic and shit!

while i love my 10th g coupe, the 9th was still really fun. the free revving and vtec sound. although not as potent as the 8th g vtec still loud and engaging!

i think im a few years i may pick up an old 9th g si just as a 2nd fun car to play with.

I skipped the 9th gen altogether. Didn’t like either tbh.
In this 10th gen, the sedan doesn’t do it for me at all. The 10th coupe is the best looking Si to date, hence why I came back!

Im with you too. Be nice to pick up a 9 or 8 gen Si on the cheap to putt around town. I like the pocket sized look of the 8th. Unfortunately I never had the free high reving vetch, but it’s certainly a lustful sound I’ve heard and been in. And even harder to find a non rust bucket up here in paradise
