I've not much interest in pairing my phone with this car. I got the touring because I wanted leather, and in Canada, its all or nothing if you want leather. Couldn't really care less about all this computer mumbo jumbo - no I'm not old, just old fashioned I guess.
Anyway. Less than a week in with bluetooth turned off in the settings and the cars touch screen is constantly prompting me, to tell me that bluetooth is off and asking me if I want to turn bluetooth on yes or no. This happens on every single trip. It shows up shortly after the driver safe operation of equipment message that also happens every startup (but at least that one goes away on its own after a short time if I ignore it). I think to myself, if I wanted bluetooth on why would I have turned it off in the first place?! Anyway, this screen won't go away until you answer the question it seems.
So I cave after a day or two. Fine, yes, I'll turn bluetooth on. Whatever, just shut up about it already.
Next thing I know, the car is prompting me again. Telling me that there is no phone paired with the system, would you like to pair a phone now yes or no? Now this screen is happening on each and every trip instead........
Hopefully they will fix this in a future software update for the touch screen system... I realize its a minor thing and that they simply assume everybody will happily pair a phone the car - but it shouldn't seem as if its trying to force you to if you are not interested in the feature.
