Hello,

Has anyone ever had a problem where the head unit stops recognizing your phone all of a sudden? If so, what was your solution? To be specific, the problem I am having is when I plug my phone into the USB (front port under the head unit), the head unit tries "Loading" for a few minutes and then nothing. It doesn't recognize my phone anymore. It was working fine until today. FM radio, AM, etc. works. It just does not load Android Auto from my phone anymore.

Car is 17 Si coupe
Phone is Samsung Galaxy S9 running Android 8.0
Android Auto is installed on the phone
USB cable is an Anker powerline cable that was working fine until today.
Again, it was working fine until today all of a sudden.

I think it has happened to me before. I think a soft reset of the headunit or a hard reset of the headunit did the trick. Also try going into app settings on your phone and deleting data/cache.

I've found Samsung phones to be a nuisance when it comes to android auto.

Mine did this a couple of months ago and I remember finding a setting in the head unit where you can enable/disable AA for your phone. I do not know how it got toggled, but it has been working fine since I toggled it back to "enable".
