A couple of weeks ago I damaged the front lip of my 2018 civic sport. There was a few people on the forum that had this problem but no fix. The damage was just cosmetic, no structural damage. A new lip from the dealer was around 500$ so that was not an option. Online it seems all the lips for the sport mount under the stock lip, this wouldn’t work. So I bought the Bayson R lip for the Si on eBay

After test fitting the new lip, it fit perfectly over the stock lip. All the mounting points lined up either to the bumper or the stock lip. To keep everything in place I had to also reinforce the stock lip and added about 8 self tapping screws to secure the stock lip to the bumper.

The lip does come with a pretty decent finish, however, I had some spray paint laying around so I did do about 3 coats of black, a couple coats of clear, and wet sand and polished it.

Overall I’m very happy with it. The lip does stick out more then the stock lip but it is nothing crazy. Some people might not like the little winglets on the side, but they do go well with how the side skirts flare up.

Sorry, perhaps I'm not understanding. Why did you test fit this lip over the damaged stock lip? It sounds like you installed this lip over the stock lip, but it looks like you removed it from the pics?

Yes I did not remove the stock lip. You can’t do that because Honda designed the lip so it extends far back and is used as a plastic cover for under the bumper. If you remove the lip you will have a huge hole under your bumper.

I love the look of this lip especially with the modern steel color.
This question is off topic but do you have a link to your front badge? That looks really well matched with the car.

Thank you! The seller just put them out of stock. I figured these were cheap generic knock offs because the price but they actually came in genuine Honda packaging with part numbers and everything. The rear emblem was a little to big and I had to trim a little off the sides to make it fit.

This is awesome. I damaged my front lip as well after running over some debris on the highway. I might go ahead and pick this up instead of replacing it with the factory one. Did you use the supplied screws to secure it to the factory lip?

Yes, I think it came with 8 screws. Also all the mounting points it uses line up as well

The listing says (non sport), but this still fits perfectly?

How much faster is the car with this add-on? Improve cornering? Mileage?

Just to confirm, you were able to get the Bayson lip to fit over the hatchback SPORT lip and not the hatchback stock lip?

I think +10hp can’t be sure tho without a dyno

On a serious note tho. I did install the open type r style grill when I installed the lip, with these two mods my average mpg seemed to have went up a little.
