Traded in my 2016 Mazda 3 2.0 hatch for this lovely 2019 Si. The blue was very hard to come by in the southeast, so I had my dealer do an allocation swap with another dealer. We shook hands on the deal on May 10th, and I took the car home on June 15th.

I am in love! The features are fantastic and the car has a great performance for a daily driver. It handles so well and feels very refined. My Mazda was a fine car but I never wanted to drive it for the sake of driving. It handled very well but it wasn’t a thrill. With the Si I am hunting for reasons to go out for a drive. I will definitely appreciate that during the winter months when my S2000 is tucked away for mini-hibernation.

I’ve already ordered a throttle pedal spacer so the heel-toe will feel much better!

Congrats on the blue, it’s my favorite color of them all. It’s hard to find that color at a dealer.

Congratulations! If I'm ever in your area I would love to "borrow" your S2000. Just for awhile...

Thank you all for the warm congratulations!

I have a question, there seems to be some system that applies braking force to the one of the wheels during cornering to aid in its abilities. It feels a bit unnatural for the car to all of a sudden gain more “dig” mid corner. I suppose this system cannot be defeated by the user?

There seem to be very few Si’s in the southeast. About 24 or so within a 200 mile radius.

When I test drove I considered getting one in white as it was much quicker to get one. My wife knocked some sense into me as she knew I was lusting after the blue. I’m glad she did! It’s got real eye appeal.

That sounds like the VSA system kicking in. Here's how you can fully disable traction control / VSA.

1. Turn car on
2. Parking brake off
3. Press and hold brake pedal
4. Turn traction control on and off
5. Parking brake on
6. Release brake pedal
7. Turn traction control on and off
8. Press and hold brake pedal
9. Turn traction control on and off

The VSA light will light up and another similar but with the letters "OFF" will be blinking.

Fantastic! I will jot this down for when I head to the dragon.

Thanks!

Good thing she told you to wait. I had a blue EX-T before I got my white Si. I could not find a blue Si at the time. Every one complemented the blue and said it looked fantastic. I have yet to get any complements on the Si for the color. I still regret not waiting for a blue Si

Congratulations @Nerd-Vol. I have the exact same car except mine is a coupe. Six months in mine and I still love it!

By the way, do you have the summer or all season tires? The summers are leaps and bounds better by all accounts if you don't have to drive in cold weather.

The all seasons. More than enough grip for my needs.
