I've read a little that says that frequent use of Advanced VSA isn't good for the catalytic converter. Would it be a good idea to disable it when driving on icy roads? I drive with a light right foot on ice, but it isn't uncommon for the traction control to cut power if I drive over a slippery spot when pulling away from a stop. I have a PRL catted downpipe.

Staying in the throttle while it's trying to keep traction in those conditions is not advised. Having it kick in lightly during a drive so you can correct is fine.
