Just swapped out my infotainment screen to that of a ‘19 model, and climate controls to that from a ‘17 model. I know many have chimed in their two cents about this (whether it’s necessary or not), but I just wanted to let others know that the swap does work. Here is a quick video of the new controls, everything functions well and I’m even happier with my car now.

That is awesome, how did you get your hands on a 19 unit for a reasonable price?

I was gonna ask same, seems this a high dollar thing over a volume knob. But i guess if ya gotta have it you gotta have it.

Dang I didn’t realize the screens could swap over. Those buttons would be nice.

Thanks. I found the screen (Not the whole infotainment unit) on eBay at a very reasonable price. The seller offered returns, so I figured why not give it a shot ‍♂

The display seems just a tad bit smaller, but the sensitivity seems better, I wasn’t expecting that!

I heard somewhere that the wire harness connectors are different on the '19s climate control unit.
