If it was only about efficiency I'd be buying a hybrid/electric but the Civic has always been about more than that. I'm not a huge fan of some of these accessories either but I think Honda has struck a great balance between sporty and efficient and it still looks pretty tasteful even with all these 'underbody' parts tacked on. As it stands the Civic X is both better looking and more efficient than the Gen 9 and class leading in many ways.

Love the front Aero kit, and side moldings. The silver adds a nice touch. The illuminated door sill adds a personal signature that others don't, along with the HFP wheels. I would totally love one in blue...

One of the reasons I am looking EX-T vs EX.

I do like the fog lights, Apple carplay and the turbo.

Exactly. I was hoping Honda would offer a darkened (think gunmetal grey) or even blacked out replacement for the chromed front end and window trim. Instead they doubled down on even more chrome. WTH?

Yea whats up with that? Black is nice and makes a car look sporty. Chrome makes it look more luxury

And also I never got the whole blacked out thing rims and all but you would think that Honda would want to cash in on that

Yeah, I never got the blacked out rims thing either. In most cases, it's ugly as hell IMO.

When I first saw it I thought it was like the wheel covers were taken off the car. Then I saw they were rims ha

I actually think these wheels would look better in all gloss black. The way they have it bi-color now it makes the spokes look like the tips of a sword or weapon. Not a fan.

I have a feeling (just a guess) that they will have some kind of black accent option for the coupe. Sedan buyers (generalizing here) are looking for something more dignified looking, like a refined luxury cruiser. Blacked out trim or the whole "murdered' out look is more for enthusiasts.

I was hoping to see some more aftermarket accessories at SEMA or at least something more than the accessories kit that Honda previewed even before the show.

Have vendors just not had any time with the car to develop any parts for it yet? Don't manufacturers typically share CAD info or specifications in advance so vendors can hit the ground running once the cars are available? Seems like it will take quite a while if they have to wait to purchase one off the lot before beginning any aftermarket development for it.
