I'm pretty sure there is a lot more to it than just swapping head units. I think all of the larger touchscreen units use Hondas amplifier, and is controlled by the canbus. Not completely sure about this, but that is my unsunderstanding.

That's just the screen dude, it's not the head unit. The head unit is around $1k. If you read the bottom it basically says it just replaces the screen itself.

Thanks for the feedback! i guess I got overly excited about the price and thought thats all i would need. Any recommendations on upgraded radio ( head unit)?

I installed a device from these guys, so far for half a year the radio has been working fine, you can contact them

Go with aftermarket. The OEM Android unit is crap anyway, hence why so many of us on here are looking towards Joying and others, even though we have the touch screen.

Hi; Did you ever get the retrofit done on your CIvic with OEM 5" radio?

There's been a lot of discussion and progress made on this site with people doing it - buying units off eBay, getting @Zed plug n play harness and having success.
