I just installed 30mm H&R spacers. I like the way they look. They fill the sunken in space that the stock wheels have. I haven’t driven the car yet, so I can’t tell you how the car feels which them. Just thought I’d show a couple pictures before I go for a drive.

Wont changes like this mess with the "wizard geometry" front end? Or is that a fallacy?
I just got back from testing it out a little. It takes a slight bit more effort to steer. Almost imperceptible though. In fact by the time I got home I couldn’t feel any difference at all.
I didn’t really put it through the ringer. I can’t say a see any improvement in handling, but on the other hand it definitely didn’t handle worse.
There is no rubbing issues at all, which I was worried about. I chose the 30mm so I wouldn’t have to cut the stock wheel studs, but wasn’t sure they would fit. They do and the car looks great.

Does this not just essentially change the offset of the stock wheels to +35? This is going to change the suspension geometry & cause a good bit more torque steer without getting the benefit of a wider wheel & tire package. I understand getting a 9.5” wide wheel with a lower offset so there is no rubbing on the struts with wider tires (265-275), but there is more torque steer at WOT. It’s a trade off for the extra grip. Putting in a 30mm spacer gets you the increased torque steer with no extra grip, right? Would this be done just for aesthetics? If I’m not understanding this, someone please help me out.

Did you give it a good WOT pull & try to steer? That’s pretty much the only time I could feel the increased TQ steer on my set up (19x9.5, +45with 275/30 rubber).

Yes it’s completely aesthetics. I have no intention of taking it to the track. If I get a chance tomorrow I’ll do a couple of WOT pulls and see how it feels.

Just to add isn't most of the point of the body work engineered to channel the air around the reciprocating wheels? Looks better though..

Any update on how it feel so far
Sorry i’ve been busy with work and forgot to post about this. To answer the big question I’m sure people would want to know, do the spacers increase torque steer. The answer is yes. If I am cornering hard on the throttle I could almost change lanes. On the other side of that coin, and I have no concrete proof of this, I believe it has increased the lateral grip slightly. If I were to track this car I would definitely take the spacers off. But I still like the way they look.

I should say also. Even in straight line acceleration the increased torque steer is very noticeable.
When I switch my tires to Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires I think I will remove the spacers so I can enjoy the full benefit of the more sticky rubber. At least for a while. We’ll see.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm curious, how have these held up? Are you still running the 30mm H&R Spacers? Also, on the install, did you have the shave studs? Thanks
I used them until I got wheels. I had no issues at all with them. No you do not have to shave the studs.
