It’s just that. Fake engine noise that comes through the cabin. The 2020 SI has it now but it supposedly sounds like crap. At least to some youtubers who disabled it.

What does fake engine noise means? Mind to share what exactly is active sound control??

They play fake engine noises through the speakers of the car that are directly related to the mode and speed. the faster the car goes the more fake engine /exhaust noise it plays.

If you google Active Sound Control (in the Si) you'll find a few things about it. They use the speakers to pump in engine noise into the cabin. The noise is normally fake engine noise which can be annoying AF. Other users have also said it's not possible to turn off in the Si. In the CTR, the PR reads like it's linked to the drive mode (so +R will have more than comfort for example).

I want the new grill... I'm curious if the new shocks would even be compatible with the older generation CTR models since in theory I think Honda could lock them out with software so the adjustability or whatever else can only work on 2020 models. Similar to how they dealt with the new infotainment volume knob in the 2019 models.

The shocks work with voltage signal only. Should be an easy swap.

Markup could be really high. There is no word yet on if this is the last year.
