Just buy one if you want one. If you like the current model when manufacturers come out with one that your happy with buy it... usually Honda an some other car manufacturers mess them up after that... I can guarantee you the refresh will not be as aggressive as this R model that’s out... wish I would have waited for the 19 just for the radio knobs lol

I don't understand why people are worried about the FK8 specifically being continued o be made at Swindon. We have one more year of this generation to be built. The 11th generation will be around the corner, and possibly a new CTR may be made at a different facility other than Swindon.

I don't think people are worried about the Type R being continued or built at the Swindon plant, but more so that Honda will build a less expensive, more toned down looks wise Type R, place it in between the Si and Type R. I think this will happen based on the pics that have been spied. Of course current Type R owners are hoping that the Type R becomes discontinued and makes their $40K civic purchase more valuable down the road. Their opinion of course is conflicted.

Odyssey Type R is going to be sick and I absolutely love that they'd make something like it! I have no kids and don't plan on it, but minivans are one of the most practical haulers you can buy and to have a performance variant (Honda Type R no less) will be awesome.

The report says if it does close it will be in 2022 which is 4 years from now, that’s not fairly quickly and a lot can happen between then and now. And that’s 4 more years of CTRs being produced.
