2019 Owners: Does your glove box light work independently of the headlights, or do they need to be on? TIA.

I think I read that the light is on when the Ignition is on, whether the glove box door is open or closed. (Nothing to do with Headlights)

My wife's Pilot has it on with the headlights only, but I believe it's an ambient light. It isn't switched like the Civic. I will be retrofitting the glove box light into my 2018, and want to know which power wire to tap.
