Just bought a new 2019 Civic Sport Sedan and I have a rattling/tapping noise coming from Driver side footwell area near the door. Only happens at speeds above 23-25mph. My 2015 Civic LX had no noises. Anybody else experiencing this?

It's a brand new car so why not have the dealer look at it?

    Update:

Ended up being a very loose driver side splash guard. Took it to the dealer and they immediately pointed out the loosened screw which then they tightened back up with Loctite. Was told by the service rep that apparently the loosening splash guards have been a very common occurrence with the newer Civics. Oh well, at least the noise is gone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just bought the EXACT same car and I’m having the EXACT same problem! Any chance you could tell me where the screw was located? Is it the splash guard covering the oil pan or up front under the front bumper?? Any info would help and be greatly appreciated, don’t really have the spare time right now to take to the dealership! Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: Found the screw! Splash guard behind front driver side wheel. Tightened the screw up and finally no more rattle! Thank you so much for posting about this, it saved me a lot of hassle!

Dangit! I had the same issue on my ‘16 EXT sedan and could never figure it out! Now, after I no longer have the sedan, I learn the solution! lol
