    Just found out my Civ was born on May 25, 2017. Swindon Plant was where it was assembled but it's born when it is ready to be sold, not when it was built, apparently, per Honda. Love my UK VIN 'Vic!!!

    The year digit has to change at the least.

    Better to have one produced later, mine is 209,739 in production, let Honda work the kinks out of the production process.

    Does anyone know what plant X is? It's not even on Wiki. Have a 2018 EX-L Sedan Made in Japan.

    I'm wondering the same thing. My 2018 EX-T with Sensing sedan has first 3 digits of JHM, plant code of X.

    Finally thought to look at the window sticker.

    JHM / X = Yorii-machi, Saitama, Japan.

    Since the Yorii-machi plant is part of the Saitama Factory, "X" might also indicate Saitama overall.

    Looks like a very pretty area and fun to visit.

    So mine is JHM and X as well, #24,697. The year though it says J... so is that like 2019??? It's a car from the FUTURE!

    J = 2018. For some reason, they skip "I".

    Because it can be mis-transcribed as 1. They also omit the letter O. Can't remember if there are others.

    My euro spec Civic Hatchback 1.0T Comfort built 09.2018 has this VIN: SHHFK6740JU005573. SHH for HondaUK, FK6 - i am guessing for the 1.0T, 7 for the spec, though it does have only the simple radio, J for 2018, U for built in Swindon. But what about 005573? It cannot be the 5573rd hatchback built in 2018, or am i missing something?

    Bringing this back from the dead.
    Maybe someone can shed some light on this. The last 6 of my VIN are 756004.

    There’s no way these are in sequential order! That would mean there are over 756,000 Si’s before me?

    Have they’ve even made that many civics in total in Alliston Ontario in the last couple years? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    How do you figure out the exact day? I could only find the year and month.
