I used..
Meguiars mirror bright car shampoo.
Meguiars m7 car glaze
Coat of meguiars gold glass paste wax

Also, I washed my car with the same shampoo 5 days ago , and applied meguiars Ultimate paste wax, which is a full synthetic.
Then the next day, (4 days ago) I used wizards mist n shine detail spray on the whole car and I applied a second coat of synthetic ultimate paste wax...

I called the number on the paste wax can and they told me to allow 24 hours for the paste wax to cure and bond the car.
I figured to apply the sealant earlier in the week followed by a hybrid carnuba to bring deapth to the paint .. but I found out the gold class paste wax is actually a hybred .. carnuba with synthetic...

I think it looks great but I can't help but think using a pure carnuba wax will bring out the deapth of the color more... it looks too matte of a finish..

Any thoughts, ideas? Should I do a second coat of gold paste wax tomorrow or get a Pure carnuba wax instead?
I have a tub of megs red tin cleaner wax and a bit of collinite 845 in addition to the mentioned products above. The cleaner wax I think is a deff NO to put on top and collinite 845...? I do not know if it contains synthetic polymers or if it is just a pure liquid carnuba wax ..

Would topping it off with a pure carnuba liquid or pure carnuba paste wax be better to make the color pop..?

I can't answer your questions directly but I can say it is amazing how different paint colors react to different wax/sealant brands. For example, I swear by Sonax Polymer Netshield and had great results with my Agean Blue coupe as well as my white Si (past car) and my wife's pearl white Outlander. Not so good with black paint or darker greys. I also found that too much wax works against making the color pop like you are looking for. Perhaps this is whats happening? Personally I have been using very pleased with the following: P21S wash boost as my car wash, P21S Paint Cleanse, then a layer of Sonax Polymer Netshield paint sealant. That's it. I have actually gotten away from wax. If the paint gets contaminated I ditched my clay for a Nanoskin wash pad. It's awesome! I always dry my car with a blower and touch up any drips with a microfiber and spray detailer (either Griots spray wax or Griots spray wash).

I wish the administrator of this website can make a dedicated thread for the sedan and for the coupe... as well as for different colors or at least different groupings of colors.

I think you are right with the two much wax comment .. I am just trying to hide the swirls and minor scratches ...
After this winter I plan on getting it professionally detailed

Aside from the guy at the dealership washing it when I bought it, the only thing that's been done to mine is taking it through the $12 touchless car wash near my house about every two weeks. 5 months and 8000 miles later, I keep waiting for it to look like it really needs a hand wash, but it never does. Even the wheels stay free of brake dust.

Honda Civic 10th gen 2016 Agean Blue Civic Coupe: How do you clean yours? IMG_2563.JPG Some beading action :) megs ultimate paste wax with megs gold class paste wax on top next day.

I have some 3m 'Perfect-it' high gloss paste wax... it's a VERY VERY hard wax and am afraid to induce more scratches into my clear coat. I was told it's on par with megs hi-tec yellow paste wax but cheaper in price..

I do not understand .. I am extremely careful and anal when I wash my car using two buckets, in the shade, straight lines etc.. using 20-30 CLEAN mf towels that I put in plastic bags after drying on low/no heat to avoid dust..same with wax application.. but no matter what I get more small scratches into my clear coat.. I hate it! I will wet sand it after the winter..for now, what's a great car glaze that will fill in the small scratches? Chemical guys jet seal worked nicely.. but lasted maybe 10-14 days..

Fun fact most scratches are caused by the drying phase cause of friction. In order to combat this use a waffle weave towel not a microfiber and use a quick detailer when drying https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-A33...qid=1476709700&sr=1-4&keywords=quick+detailer spray on the water and wipe should glide off easily. Unless you polish the car btw scratches won't go away(glaze makes wax doesn't last as long so polish is the way to go)

Edit: don't keep applying layer and layer of waxes. Strip it like once at year by using dawn dish soap as the car soap(don't do this on regular washes) clay the the car, then use a half 50/50 water and alcohol spray to strip the wax. Btw use a sealent wax instead! Lasts longer 6 months approx and easier to apply.

Exactly. This is why I plan to wash mine by hand as little as possible (that and I'm lazy lol). New cars have a deep glossy look that seems impossible to get back once it's gone. They look good even when they're dirty. So it's either the sun or surface-contact washing that stops a new car from looking new anymore and I want to see which it is.

So I washed my car Monday (2 days ago ) with meguiars mirror bright car shampoo.. dried with lamb skin cloth, 2 layers megs ultimate paste wax with an hour in between buffing off.
Yesterday I used mothers instant detailor section by section then applied 3M "perfect-it" paste wax, then buffed off.
Results speak for themselves!

It has been in the upper 40's low 50's last few days.. took a minute for wax to haze but I'm pretty happy with the mirror finish!
Beautiful reflection of this mornings sky:)

So I just got my civic like 2 weeks ago. Last weekend it was a touch less car wash. Today I did a optimum no rinse wash. This weekend I'm going to do another optimum no rinse, clay bar wash and then I'm going to wax it with Meguiars NXT generation tech wax 2.0 ....in December I'll give it a new coat of 845 wax/sealant for the winter months.

If'n your a paste-wax kinda person, Collinite 915 is one of the most durable you can get. Looks good, not hard to use (apply/buff panel by panel, though). Around $36 for a tin but that tin will last you literally years.

i actually just ordered Chemical Guys Glossworks Glaze and FK1000P sealant. Hoping to glaze her up and put on 2 coats of FK1000P before the snow starts flying in Buffalo.

Could you compare Collinite 845 to the 915 paste?

Never used 845 so dunno. 915 do panel by panel, let it set for too long it becomes tough to remove.
