2012 16" wheels on 2016 ?

You should be fine. They should be 16x6.5 45 offset. I have 16x6.5 45 offset steels from my Element with snows. 205/60's. Those wheels would probably look bigger than my steels given their design.

Any tips for verifying or measuring? Seller doesnt likely know what the numbers/offset are as I asked and got no response....

Thank you, you have been most helpful and I appreciate it. Believe it or not, I do know how to use google lol , but at the risk of sounding like an idiot, when it comes to this kind of stuff people like yourself can make much better sense of things than I can.

Final question for you. Any downside to them being 16 x 6.5 vs. The base model oem wheels that look like they are 16 x 7 ?

No problem. Can't think of a downside unless you plan on adding a big brake kit. A narrower wheel is actually preferable in snow. Losing a half inch in width could also shave off some wheel weight.
