Finally we did it!! 261 km/h (162 mph) with our 1.5T civic MT.
We already completely remove the speed limit for our cars (stock 207 km/h = 128 mph).
For 1.5T MT the maximum speed is 269 km/h (167 mph)
For 1.5T CVT the maximum speed is 240 km/h (149 mph)

Safe? Good for the car?
Yes 100% safe :) You can see the RPM only 6200 for the CVT. We already test many times go over 23x km/h.
Not safe if you drive this speed in pubic road.

Nice. What did you have to put into it to get it going that fast?
We are developing new tuning box which will be launch soon. Hopefully next month.

Besides tires, I'd be curious how much out-of-spec stress was placed on the CVT...can't imagine a Civic was designed to sustain those speeds.

The CVT was not running out-of-spec perse. CVT RPM Limit was not removed in this car and all CVT MAPs are stock. After running 230-240 for about 5 minutes, CVT Fluid/Oil became too hot and PCM promptly lowered engine power output and vehicle speed dropped to about 190ish km/h for the remainder of the drive. After CVT cooled down, the car was able to pick up more speed again.

I am not saying that "no stress" was done to the car. I am just saying that we did not push the CVT more than it's stock specification. As you can see in the video, RPM stayed at 6200 while the vehicle speed was still creeping to 230.

I'm guessing the CVT wouldn't last very long at those speeds before self-destructing. The MT might be able to do it though.

We are just showing what we can do, doesn't mean we run this speed for one hour :)

No but you may want to consider a CVT cooler if your car does not already have one.
