I'm looking to get a set of alloy wheels for my 2017 LX sedan. I want to stick with 16" so I can use the stock tires that came with the car 215/55R16. I'm having the hardest time finding 10th gen wheels, however I found very affordable 9th gen 16" wheels in excellent condition. The main difference is that they are 0.5" narrower than the 10th gen wheels (7" for 10th gen, 6.5" for 9th gen).

I'm wondering if the 0.5" difference will be at all noticeable? Will there be any fitment issues? And does anyone have any pictures of their 10th gen Civic with 9th gen 16" civic wheels installed? I'd love to see some pics. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I thought for sure someone would have tried this on their 10th gen already. Anyone?

The fitment will be fine.

I have the 16" rims that I am currently running for winters on my 2020 LX hatchback. I put them on the same day I picked up the car. My tire size on them are 205/55r16 but the 215's should still fit without issues.

Those look nice.

My car is modern steel in color. These are the 9th gen wheels I'm talking about:

Looking to put my 16ā€ snows on a set of alloys and ditch the plain black steel wheels I have ā€™em on now.

Thanks to the original poster.
Scavenged this pic from another post in this thread...
I picked up a set of these wheels with a set of all season tires of the wrong size mounted on them.

Iā€™m in for a grand total of $80 after
-dismounting my winter tires from the steel wheels they were on,
-selling my steel wheels,
-selling the wrong size tires that were mounted on the wheels I bought,
- mounting my winter tires on the style of wheels shown above.

Iā€™m happy now, even if the wife thinks Iā€˜m a little soft in the head.

2004 Accord rims 16x 6.5 winter set-up. I just got these because I couldn't pass up the deal. 250 for all four also refinished. So the rim looks new. I'm most likely going to sell those and buy rsx type s rims though.
