Anyone have any luck buying an SI in Washington state? The dealers near me won’t budge at all and are asking 27-28k OTD which is ridiculous.

Anyone from CA has any info on how much it would cost OTD including all that CA taxes, and fees. I found a few Si Sedans online from the dealership that ranges from 20k-22k. I'm looking to buy in 2 weeks.
Where are they quoting 20k for a si sedan in norcal?

Dang, seeing some of the deals people in this thread (and other similar threads on this site) makes me wonder how much more wiggle room I had to go down :(

Regardless, bought last week in the Bay area (California):

2019 Honda Civic Si Sedan
MSRP: $25,220
Invoice: $23,492
Cash Vehicle Price: $23,300
Doc Fee: $85
OTD w/o TTL: $23,385
Tax: $2,105
Gov Fees: $366
OTD w/ TTL: $25,856

Financed for 3 years at 1.5% APR, $7K down.

I started by sending out Truecar inquiries for the Civic Si as well as other Hondas/cars I was considering. The Truecar quotes I received the Civic Si had the OTD w/o TTL (cash + doc fee) at about $23,675 at the lowest and $24,150 at the highest among 3 dealerships within 25 miles of where I live. I also checked KBB "fair purchase price" range, $23.0-24.8K and the Edmunds "true market value", $23.8K, for the Si Sedan near my zip code.

I went to the dealer with the lowest initial Truecar quote, after some (really annoying!) waffling by them they honored the truecar quote price they sent me as a starting offer. I talked them down to the $23,385 OTD w/o TTL from there.

I didn't email/call around negotiating between the different dealers before visiting (i.e. "blahblahblah 8 mlies away quoted me $xxx, can you beat that?"), I should probably do that next time!

Overall though when I walked out I was pretty satisfied with the price I got compared to the Truecar distribution, KBB range, and Edmunds TMV. This was a first time new car buying experience (only prior experience was buying used from Craigslist) so having read some of the responses on threads here I see that there is probably some more room to improve. Nevertheless a pretty decent experience overall, and most importantly the car's been great so far!

Purchased my 2019 Civic SI coupe in MSM 2 days ago for 24.1k OTD at Woodland Hills Honda in Southern California.

I was able to get the 24.1k OTD price quoted before coming in. During negotiations they kept pushing for the extended warranty (around 2.7k) which I declined and an additional $1k for the protection package that was already installed(mudguards, 3m film on door edges, trunk tray, etc.) but I wouldn’t budge on it and they eventually just gave it to me.

Maybe I could have negotiated to pay a little less but overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

Price Breakdown
Cash Price : 22060.69
Document fee: 85.00
Tax: 1605.56
Electronic Vehicle registration: 30.00
Govt fees: 318.75

Total : 24,100.00

One more for the list.

2019 Civic Si Coupe, red
Vehicle price- ~$22,500 + ttl after recent grad rebate, and including all-weather floor mats because why not. Came out to be about $23,500 otd.

Overall not bad based on the other sales reported here, but there's absolutely room to negotiate down. Invoice + freight is no longer the bottom line. This was a no-haggle "employee" pricing; I saved the negotiations for the trade in. Which they lowballed the hell out of, forcing me to settle on matching the Carmax offer. Jerks. One caveat for anyone looking into those rebates is that they're also applied after tax, so the effective value is a bit less than $500 off the car. The other bs part of the deal is I had to take over 5% on the financing for the recent grad rebate despite being in the "excellent" credit score category. So that is totes getting paid off in a couple months.

My 2019 Sedan is a lease but I got it last week for $24,350. This included some dealer add-on stuff like the trunk tray, etc. that I didn't even want but oh well.

Anyone have any luck buying an SI in Washington state? The dealers near me won’t budge at all and are asking 27-28k OTD which is ridiculous.
Talk to a dealer in other states and consider traveling to buy. You'll still have to pay WA taxes and crap, but there's no reason an Si should be 28k. How are they getting that OTD price? What actual vehicle price are they charging, to get it to 28k?

Well taxes here come out to about 2500. Most dealers didn't even want to budge on MSRP price. I was able to find a dealer to do 26.3k OTD and that was low enough for me to pull the trigger. I ended up talking and negotiating with about 6 different dealerships and none of them got even close to 26k OTD. I searched around for about 3 months before buying mine.
