How much are the 19s going for then? Can you explain how bad my deal is?
I'll chime in here- usually you try to aim for 10% of what the cap cost is, with $0 down payment. So a good deal would've been around $270 per month.

Honda will have lease deals for there cars, about a few months after they are released. If you are not in a hurry you could get one leased for 189 to 250 a month. Like now the deal is for the LX Civic, leased at $189. When I purchased my 2018 Civic Si, Honda had a lease deal for 250 a month for the Si.

One question what made you lease one?
I was returning my 2016 Lx sedan that I had leased and I've never not leased a car and I really liked the Si.

dang, the finance guy at the honda was telling me that I was getting the same deal his mother would get if she wanted a car! my family has leased 9 cars from this dealer and these are the "deals" they're giving us.

2019 Si Coupe, Platinum White Pearl.

Arrived at the dealer at 6:30pm on 11/30. I informed the saleswoman immediately that I was only interested in 2019s but asked if I could test drive an '18 (stock of 2019s had just arrived at this dealer and were not PDI'd.) After test driving, we went inside to talk price and she started off with 23.5k. I was taken by surprise expecting to have to negotiate the price down on a car that had just arrived. Ended up 25.5k OTD.

PDI tech even found me in the showroom to ask if I wanted the front bumper holes drilled or not. I hadn't even thought about it, so that was really cool of him to come and ask.

The next day, I got a call from the saleswoman asking how everything was going. At some point during the day I realized I didn't ask for the wheel lock key and didn't see it in the trunk so I thought, no big deal, I can go back to the dealer and pick it up... they probably forgot about it because of the rushed PDI. She told me to the check "the black bag in the glovebox" and there it was, with the 4 extra lug nuts.

Highly recommend Pohanka Honda in Capitol Heights, MD based on my experience.

That's how it should be! Congrats on the car.

Out the door seems kind of silly given the variability of taxes by state.
Seems it should be negotiated price, plus destination, plus any add ones (warranty, additional options) and any other dealer fees. If you want to list tax and title separate those out.

I got 22,305 for a 2018 Si including destination, dealer adding to drivetrain warranty tp 10 yrs 100k (for “free”) and first oil change, lol. Have not picked up yet they are talking up the 2019s now that they are in, I’ll tell them 2019 is ok but keep price the same (ok I’d bump purchase price up by the yearly increase). Tax in MA is 6.25 so adds another $1,394, going to move registration from another car, and if I add hondacare it will be from Hyannis Honda or similar.
Should have either the original 2018 or a 2019 this weekend (had to move money around which takes a few days.

I am not familiar with your specific market, but I think 22.3 seems a little high for a 2018, now that the 2019's are out.

* Paid 21.9 + TTL (no add-ons or trade-ins) 6+ months ago for a 2018.

Good to know it’s in the right ballpark but maybe a few hundred high, I’ll see if I can get spare tire kit plus floor mats thrown in .
I can walk out no problem - have 4 registered cars for 2 drivers (granted one has a busted suspension), so not at all like I have to buy.

Well the one I supposedly had a deposit on they sold, then they tried to up me to a 2019 for 23,900 I said no way, I’d pay 300 more max. They are trying to find a 2018 coupe now for the deal price. They don’t find it I’ll wait, I’m in no hurry but could do the deal at any time.

Get a membership by way of your mom. It will save you 2 grand on car on purchases. Plus Navy federal requires the dealer to show you the vehicle invoice.

Will look into a membership.
FYI top lev l of usaa looking at si coupe showed program average price of $22,527 on an 18. Does not show pricing on a 19 and you need to sign in to view local inventory. The price I had was $22,305 via internet offer.

You are getting the 18 at that price minus the add ons and due to the fact that it is the end of the year. You can get the 19s for the same discount price. You will need a membership to see all of the discounts. I used Navy federal.
