Recieved this lip in the mail today. Box had some major damage. Luckily the contents were well protected in foam etc. Regardless, I thought I'd show some pix before I send it off to the paint shop for those interested in the details...

Front closeup, lots of adhesive spots which I like. Makes me feel like it's not going anywhere

Unfortunatly, the dealer has my car until tuesday so I can't really dry fit it or anything right now...

I just love how the obvious red disclaimer sticker in middle of box says “fragile, handle with care” . Buffoons

I always wonder if sadistic postal workers read the "fragile" sticker to mean "throw it and step on it as much as possible".

Yea, I called before I ordered the lip and asked about how well if wood be packaged. They said not to worry its insured. Honestly. The box is probably too big for what's inside, but then that might be what saved it as well. Anyway. I'm on a road trip and plan to drop it off to paint this Monday or Tuesday. Should install by next weekend.

K, back home from road trip. Test fitted the lip for fun. The placement isnt perfect but it's enough to get the idea. Chances are it gets dropped off tomorrow for paint. Put on jdm/euro side markers while I was at it.

i like the way it hugs the body and is like an extension of the body, rather than just something that is bolted on and hangs there...

Damn that looks really nice, I agree with how it looks nice that it is hugging rather than overtaking it.

So the lip is at the paint shop. It's primed and ready to paint. Since I have the new platinum white pearl the guy wants my car there so he can make sure the paint matches perfect. It's a 5 star paint shop so I appreciate that he's working hard to make it perfect. He says first he lays down the white and then the pearl then the clear. Depending on how thin or thick the pearl goes on determines how well it matches etc. I expect to have the lip early next week.

Well, were one step closer. Got the call to pick up the spoiler from the paint shop. Cost $200, which was nice cause I was expecting about $250 or so. Pictures dont do it justice. This thing looks perfect and appears to almost glow in real life. Set it next to the car to check for paint match, and seems to be a perfect match. Won't know for sure till it's on. I'm confident that it's gonna be fine though. Special thanks goes out to forum member "jdmclock" for recommending the paint shop etc.
