  1. Owners of the first batch of CTRs, how's your alcantara holding up?

Luuuuvvv that Alcantara wrapped steering wheel :spaz: How much did it cost and how long did it take? Did the shop remove the original leather or did they wrapped the Alcantara over it? I would have done the shift boot too, and maybe the dash if it doesn't break the bank.
  2. Random CTR Chat

I see. Then I won't feel like a total idiot for starting off the R34 as if I was driving a beat up Japanese mini van.
  3. Random CTR Chat

I had the chance to drive a presumably stock Nissan GTR R34 in Tokyo lately. Drove for about 160 miles and the stiffness of clutch and gas pedal nearly crippled both my knees the next day. The R34 clutch felt super hard and I needed to exert quite a strong stepping force as i clutch in. The...
  4. Thermal Exhaust

Sounds pretty good in the YouTube video, but I'm not fan of the looks.
  5. 2017 Civic Type R Reviews Compilation

Sonic Gray CTR review in French
  6. What underwhelmed you, disappointed, or just shocked you?

I hope there will come a time where the front seats can be spec'd in black rather than red. Just like the limited black edition FK2 in its last run. Black hides most things.
  7. What underwhelmed you, disappointed, or just shocked you?

Is the seat fabric real Alcantara or cloth with a suede feel? My Recaros with Alcantara have endured more than 10 years of abuse and neglect and are holding up fine, despite the usual wear marks.
  8. LaneWatch in sub menus.

I'm still driving an old Honda that doesn't have these features :(
  9. LaneWatch in sub menus.

This menu looks like some high level software component architecture. The look and feel isn't inline with the rest of the user interface. Could this be some back door which Honda didn't patch up prior to production?
  10. Car and Driver Instrumented Test Performance Results for Civic Type R

The dude in this vid does a lot of car reviews in China. He seems to have quite a bit of automotive engineering knowledge and can do all the basic stuff like heel & toe, clutchless shifting.
  11. 2017 Civic Type R Reviews Compilation

New CTR review by Lauren Fix on YouTube
  12. Another abused Civic Type R test drive

The dude who lost his job was the one driving , or the dealer staff who let the maniac behind the wheel?
  13. [Help] Electric Parking Brake Problem

This is probably the worst kind of error. New model with an error that happened and miraculously went away, no precedence recorded (yet) and you won't know when it may come back. It's probably better for it to be repeatable under a known set of circumstances, which would make it easier for the...
  14. [Help] Electric Parking Brake Problem

Hope this can be (easily) worked around and not end up with some sort of recall. For me, it's a real deal breaker if I can't even trust Honda to get this electric parking brake done right. Imagine if you need to send the kids to school for exams, or there's a life and death emergency to attend...
  15. I drove my CTR 700 miles home

That's great! I always prefer to use engine brake over the brake pedal as I feel is a smoother way to drive on normal roads.
  16. I drove my CTR 700 miles home

@foxxdie , how's the responsiveness of the engine brake? As in, when you lift your foot off the gas, do you feel the car slow down immediately? Some cars engine braking effect is muted which I dislike.
  17. Rallye Red, #1699 accounted for, with lots of pictures

Those magazine quality pics need your personal watermark on them, just in case some auto review websites rip them off. You should consider doing series of shoots for all CTR colors. This car deserves to have its beauty enshrined in high quality pics.
  18. Just bought a Black one

The class of COE costs USD 34K based on the last round of bidding. Prices seems to be dropping recently, most likely due to the slowing economy. It's a game that can never be won by the working class.
  19. 2017 Civic Type R Reviews Compilation

T3's review states that the CTR has: "The new Honda Civic Type R (2017) is also installed with Honda's "SENSING" suit of active safety technologies, which includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping...
