10 miles is pretty common. Mine had 6 before I test drove it after basically getting a pre approval from the bank for the loan. I put about 3-4 miles on it doing a test drive and the salesman reminded me as soon as I got in the car to go easy on it because of the break in period. I'd be worried...
I bought my car with 8 miles on it. The dealer wouldn't let me test drive it until I was basically approved for purchase from my bank. Not sure honda dealers would be much different, but it's common sense.
And that 1500 mile break in period has the be bullshit. Mine was only 1000 and most...
You can have the dealer predrill for the license in the front bumper. The factory "holes" aren't wide enough from my experience with my sti. I didn't have the dealer drill into my bumper causing more holes, I just use the tow hook on the front and mount the license plate there. Very common.
I'll be trading in the STI and hopefully get about a 20k credit towards the car, then finance the rest of the loan for credit purposes. Also with me doing this my monthly payment is gonna be extremely less than what I pay a month on the sti, so it appeals to the girlfriend as well. Regardless of...
The sti only takes about 4.5/4.6 quarts. It was a weird thing to learn as well coming from the s2000 which took a bit over 5. Of course some burn oil so that .5 quarts is going to be needed before the next oil change anyway
The RS is still sitting on lots up here collecting dust and snow with high markups still. The dealer down the street has two, one is 55k and the other is 51k.... it's cheaper to fly down to the lower 48 and pick up one and drive back up here to alaska.
I personally think it's absolutely foolish to waste the money just to have the car a month sooner than others. A guy here paid upwards of 60k for a RS last year and that thing is worth less than half of that now.
I walked in and ordered my Subaru exactly the way I wanted it. The type r is going to have far less options sounds like, so I'm actually not seeing the appeal in ordering one. As long as I can choose the color I want I'll be fine.
I am somewhat on the fence on getting one based on price. It depends on how close to or how far away the asking price is compared to my Subaru. If the price is sub 35k then I have some serious deciding to do.
I wouldn't worry about the car getting stolen. Your average car thief isn't reprogramming fobs to go around stealing civics when there's more higher value items out there. If your car gets stolen, it's probably your fault because you left it running. Only time we hear about STIs with fobs...
Correct. I'm moving to a warm weather climate after the summer and don't really need the AWD feature anymore, plus this is supposed to be a very clever fwd. hopefully the reviews back up the claims.
Hi folks, been trolling here for a few months waiting for the updates. I currently have a 2016 STI limited. I'm very interested in the price with all the specs. I'm hoping it comes in a little cheaper than my sti which was 42k. I'd love to get this car with the same options as mine for 36-38k...
