Come live to Canada ! Our Sport Touring model comes with MT + Honda Sensing with ACC. The only missing feature compared to the Sport Touring CVT with Honda Sensing is low speed follow.
Some people really want/need the hatchback. They will have to deal with the fact that it is an import car not made in north america. I think that's the main factor in the "huge" price increase. Is it a tremendous value other the Touring sedan ? no! But the hell with it ! It will be my car next...
They have been building the Civic hatches in UK for a loooong time now (mainly for the European market)... why change that ?? It's a new platform so the ramp up is slow but the UK plant is perfectly capable of handling it over time :)
I can't speak for the others but I just have come to terms with the fact that nothing points to the fact that there will be a Si hatch. If they release it then it will be a nice surprise but I don't hold my breath :) I'd rather be surprised than disappointed ;)
I dont know but for me the fact that there are two (extremely slightly) more powerful Sports variant of the hatch is indicative that, at least for now, Honda is just testing the waters.
I would guess that if Honda made it mandatory it doesn't add that much stress on the car... They wouldn't want to lose a few of their reliability points now would they ? :D
What do you mean by functional ? The Civic hatch is supposed to have 25.6 cubic feet of storage (based on the canadian press release) whereas the Mazda 3 only has 20.2
I don't get what you want it to do ? You would rather have normal Cruise Control and get to the point of an imminent collision with the truck ahead and then have the Collision Mitigation system brake at the last moment for you ?
Personally I find normal CC to be a pain exactly for the same...
The text has been updated on the official website from what the quoted text say to this: The turbocharged engine will be offered with either a sporty CVT (all trims) or a performance-inspired 6-speed manual transmission (LX and Sport).
It's supposed to launch around February 2017 in Europe but we will have more infos about the European version around the Paris auto show (early october)
You don't like the car we get it. Though you don't have to mock someone else's enthusiasm about it... To each his own. I myself may not be a fan of the fake vents but I like the overall design enough to want to buy it.
