Just wanted to pop in and say my 2017 HB Sport driver door buzzes as well. Pressure on the door card magks it stop.
Seems that a lot of these cars exhibit that.
Yes, this will bring on the fog lights with Park lights, low beam, and high beam and will allow you to turn off the fog lights when you actually turn the slide switch to ON.
One thing he doesn't mention is that the dash indicator will not display the fog lights as on.
It will actually indicate...
They installed the red ones for free. But looking at the instructions, it's not that difficult. I'd install the red door handles and door illumination myself since they are out of market
Not really. The fog lights are controlled by the BCM. Unless you want to wire in your own relays there's nothing more here. I'm not taking the time to backwards engineer the BCM for fog light only DRL.
Yes. I did! I can't get a picture until the end of this month. The wiring is just bare ends for the halos. You'll have to make your own jumper and find a power tap for them.
I did the same thing here, except instead of the standoff I used 5 1/2" of threaded stock with some thread locker.
screwed it into the existing mounting hole and then doubled nutted the Hella Horns bracket to the threaded stock.

Ditto. If you need specific guidance on installation, pictures of your intended equipment to add is almost a requirement.
I'd like to reiterate the use of fuses for powered wires.
A properly working voltmeter will not spark or arc when taking voltage readings. You should be using this setting:
DC VOLTS
Also, be sure that you replace the OEM fuse into the proper slot of the add-a-fuse.
8 ohm. It takes less amperage than the 6 ohm would.
It is strange that your 21W LEDs cause hyper flashing. Maybe it's because they are 21W Equivalents...
I'm not sure if you are referring to the stock bulbs as 21W or your LED's as 21W.
(I'm going to assume that you mean the new LED bulbs use 21Watts and you want to add a resistor.)
You add the wattage together. I'm assuming you're using a 21Watt LED and you're going to add the resistor to that...
Depends on the LED bulbs that you use. The reason you're using resistors is to INCREASE the load on the circuit so that the BCM monitoring the turn signal circuit thinks it still has incandescent bulbs as the load. LED's take much less current and the BCM thinks that the bulb is burnt out and...
The problem is that the fog light relay under the hood is controlled by the BCM (body control module). This BCM is programmed to not allow fogs without low beams. A separate switch could be used to power the fogs independently, but you would lose the dash indicator when they are on as the BCM...
Any sources for European market Civic Type R parts?
The price of a roof & garnish vinyl wrap in black and then comparing that to custom repainting of OEM garnishes to SGP is comparable to shipping of a factory painted Sonic Grey Pearl Roof garnishes.
One problem; only the Europe market has the...
I researched and found that the mounting hardware is the same part number (91513-T6A-003).
Any experience here on the compatibility of
Replacing this top spoiler with:
These roof garnishes from the Type-R:
Keep an eye on those wire taps and butt connectors after it rains. They are prone to corrosion.
some RTV on the exposed metal spades (red circles) and some heat shrink (green circle) will keep your connections clean, longer as you can see in TAXMASTA's installation.
If you don't have access to...
I don't know of any pre-built harnesses, but from your reply, you sound more than competent to complete this yourself. Don't forget the 1/4" loom to make it look OEM. I did the same thing you plan with HELLA super tones and replaced the stock horn.
They fit if you use a standoff of just over 5".
Since you're using a relay and fuse just connect the Normally open contact to the terminal here:
using a ring terminal:
and don't forget to fuse it right at the terminal:
This will work. However, there will be no indication that your fog lights are on from your instrument cluster. Additionally, you have no control of your fog lights when park lights are on.
This setup will override your combination switch; in my HB Sport the park lights stay on when I turn on...
After getting into the dash; not much for updates. Separate from adding a new switch and controlling the fogs on a dedicated circuit. I'm not sure the BCM can be made to turn on the fogs w/o the headlights.
I'm waiting on a used combination switch to test it and see if it will handle 12V power...
