I have a 2016 Honda Civic EX-L (no navigation). The head unit is dead, so I'm just trying to replace it with stock/OEM. The number on it is:
39101-TBC-A41-M1.
I'm looking around and there are head units but they're labeled differently, but physically have the same ports:
39101-TBC-A31-M1...
Was the dealership able to fix it? My unit is doing the same thing. But, I have disconnected the fuse and even let it sit overnight for 10+ hours. Tried that several times, didn’t work. Disconnected the battery terminals and that didn’t work either, so I’ll probably bring it to the dealer or...
Hey, I also had the TSB performed on my car probably 2 years ago at this point. After it, grinding noise is nonexistent to this day, 30000 miles later. For the past 2 months, occasionally on startup there is an unseemly vibration that was similar to the one felt prior to the TSB. So I knew it...
Mines just got fixed at Gillman Honda Houston. I brought the printed TSB in and presented it and wanted it fix and I had no problems doing so. The dealer said they could seldom replicate the noise, but they called American Honda to confirm and A.H. told them to replace it, so they did. Dealers...
They're slightly different, I just can't tell from the picture if it's the correct one. Honda makes it hard. 19 and 30 were my closest guesses tho.
Turns out they didn't have any on hand and my SA and technician know what they were called for their part number. And yeah I removed it to check...
Took my car to the dealer for an oil change and the 1/4 turn screws that hold the shield up are missing, do you guys know the part number for this 1/4 turn screw?
Yeah. I find it annoying how someone else can tell me how my car runs. You're the one that drives it day in and day out. You know the car. Not the ones at the dealer that can claim, "I don't hear anything wrong with it," after just starting the car a few times. Compared to you starting it...
Yeah but it's their word against mine so it's hard to prove my point without any evidence unless other Civic owners experience the same issue. Luckily it's easy to fix, but still a major concern for other drivers who has kids in the car and whatnot if it exploded in someone's eye
The dealer is not going to replace it because they said an object such as a rock must've hit it. So I'm replacing it on my own. If I'm going 75mph on the freeway, I'm sure a rock would've also left a dent in my sunroof visor at that velocity but it's easier for them to not fix it and easily...
