The speakers I got are most for stereo powered applications. I also tried some others but they didn't sound so good since they weren't amped.

Ive considered pullin that part off and plastidipping it but leaving the letters. Ive also thought about making a matte black cover that would fit right over it, again leaving the letters visable. Anyone tried something like that?

I think so. If thats the bolt that secures the pillar trim that connects up to the seatbelt. I put the ground wire right under that bolt. No drilling needed. :)

I added some from door speakers - Jbl gt7-6's and a Rockford Fosgate p300-10 in the hatch. For a single powered 10", you can get quite a bit of bass.

It should detect the key within 6 feet of the car (I think) and most definitely if it's inside.

Sounds pretty good. I just finished with my audio improvements now I might think about performance parts to. Take a look at PRL downpipe thread on here. It's supposed to give the same extra performance as the hondata.

Ive thought about just getting some tips that I like. Plenty out there. I think youd need a 2.5" inlet. Maybe one thats bolt on. Easy on easy off.

I could have been locked out a time or two myself. Make sure you keep your key on your person. These bugs are frustrating. I may just trade my ex hatch on a GTI next year if they cant get this stuff straightened out.

Mike, Crutchfield said to connect to both left and right speakers so I redid mine. And what a difference too. My settings were cranked up. I had to turn my gain and bass boost way down! Hooking up to the other speaker made it seems like night and day!

Sorry for the late replies on these. I actually changed my ground point. Down under the rear seat close to the back near the doors, there is a bolt that helps anchor the outer seat belt trim. Just remove it, clean off the paint from the hole and there ya go. But to your pics, mine doesn't have...

My p300-10 has a audio turn on option and as soon as it senses a signal thru the rca line it turns on.

I used a kicker loc. Should have used the lc2i loc but I didnt want to have to run another ground and power line. My powered P300-10 sounds pretty good for a 10" sub in a small box.

Where is a good ground point when you put the amp under a seat?

Forget messing with tapping into the door speakers on the hatch and just use t-taps or your preferred method and hook up your loc to the factory head. Then you just run your rcas down behind the glove box and kicker panel and down under the sills all the way to the back. OP - where did they...

Can you put up a diagram that includes the inside of a door panel or kicker panel? I can point them out that way.

Any idea what the kicker and door panel clip numbers are? There are green and white ones. Im not sure if there is any difference in sizes.
