Congrats! If I could wave my magic wand, the white one is what I would wind up with. It looks great.
Regarding the ADM, $10K over is actually better than I am seeing elsewhere. Being old and in a different stage in life, I probably wouldn't spend that kind of money on this particular...
In order to properly track efficiency (MPG), you need to fill your tank completely as a starting point. Then you log your odometer. Drive it until you fill up. It doesn't matter how far that is. You can do this at 3/4 tank, 1/4 tank, or empty. When you do fill up the next time, you log your...
If you're looking at leather, then you have the side camera.
I'm going to say this as someone that is over twice your age, but I don't want it to come off as condescending in any way.
If you adjust your side mirrors properly, and very few people do, A) your car will not have a blind spot...
I agree that hitch racks are generally preferable to roof racks for bikes, but just so you're aware, the roof racks actually sit on the door frames, which is one of the crash frame components. It's more than sturdy enough for the needed purposes.
I'm sure it does. Too bad the 2017 models don't have the sliding gesture. :)
I, too, use the steering wheel controls, since the touch screen is such a mess. I've always wished the controls were reversed, though. I prefer the cruise control controls on the left side simply due to the way I...
If nothing else, the Corolla has a volume knob. I want to drag the Civic designer that decided not to put a volume knob on the dash out into the street and run over him while I'm trying to adjust the volume without a knob.
I have been getting right around 30-31MPG at every fillup. The best I got was 36, the worst was 29. I do the calculations at the pump with an app called Road Trip that I have been using for since July 22, 2009. With 3498 miles, I have a lifetime average of 30.18MPG, based on actual fuel...
Thanks for taking the time to work this up. Pretty cool to see.
Of course, few people buy a car based on paper numbers. Real world factors include body style (both objective like number of doors and subjective like looks), warranty, brand reputation for reliability, insurance costs, service...
It's starting to look like the Type R can come close to hitting the $40K mark. With a base price starting in the "mid $30Ks" (per a press release), dealer markups, a few accessories, etc, I don't feel like $40K is going to be unrealistic when they hit.
If you have $40K for a car, is the...
Remember, your age, gender, and driving record mostly affects your liability insurance. Call and find out what your liability by itself costs. Even though I pay a total of over $3K per year, my liability is only $150 per year for two drivers, both in their 40s. Civics and other economy cars...
A valid option, but with the 5-bike arms extended rearward, and the adapter holding it farther back, it would sit pretty far out to the rear of the car, not to mention that there is a 200lb tongue weight limit on a Class 1 hitch. Seems like it might be worth buying something more appropriate...
I notice the Curt hitch is a Class 1 hitch with a 1.25" tube, which wouldn't work for my existing Thule. I'd have to get a smaller one if I went that route (which I may.)
Seems like a tall order with the center exhaust, but I hope your wish is granted.
I have a hitch rack also, but it's a Thule Apex 9026 that holds 5 bikes and requires a 2" hitch. I don't see that happening on any Civic.
Is there a driverside camera on any Honda? I am thinking that having the left side of the car show on the right side of the driver (center screen) isn't ideal. I'd want a small screen on the bottom of the A-pillar, if I was king of the world.
Company: AAA

Two not at fault claims in the last 5 years (rear ended both times).
I carry $5M liability, many extras like rental car coverage, roadside assistance, etc. Total value of covered vehicles is a little...
It may be a driver height issue, as well, just spitballing here...
I am 6' and found the rear visability to be very good on the 2017 Hatchback. Far better than many vehicles that I've driven. I keep my mirror adjusted on the high side, as the view under the spoiler is basically worthless...
I'm an old man and still sometimes listen to the radio.
I use iTunes (IOS music player), Spotify, Amazon Music, and Audible (audio books for old people). I wind up using bluetooth a lot because Apple Carplay requires plugging my phone in, and I usually just leave it in my pocket.
If you go the Thule/Yakima route, you basically buy 3 parts: crossbars, pedestals, and a car-specific fit kit.
All this is said knowing that neither Thule nor Yakima has released a fit kit for the 2017 Hatchback yet. I talked to them last week and they said they are currently working on it...
