One thing that surprises me is the 450 watt, 10 speaker sound system on the EX-T Coupe and above when you have to get the Touring on the sedan to get that. I think that is a mistake on Honda's part. On the Accord Sedan the EX-L also gets the better stereo. I think when you are going up to...
I suppose you can say they are technically unanswered. However, as Honda will send you email updates on the Civic SI in sedan and coupe versions I would call that pretty solid. As the current Type R is a hatchback, the spy photos are hatchback, Honda's teaser photo for the hatchback plainly...
I believe the administrator said it was embargoed until February 22nd. Apparently this is when the coupe's specifics will be revealed by Honda - trims, specs, pricing, expected delivery dates, etc,
First off you won't see any substantial changes until the 2019 model year. This is when Honda well put a new face and tail on it and make some internal improvements. Before then there may be some small feature changes but nothing substantial. Also things like seat memory and adjustable lumbar...
They don't need a great exhaust note, they can follow the lead of BMW, VW, Porsche and others by faking it. You either put in some kind of resonator that can be switched in or out or even just pipe recorded engine sounds through the stereo! Read all about it here...
Interesting pages of speculation and rational for various hp figures. Now it's time for facts. Based on inside knowledge I can unequivocally state that the new SI will have between 200 and 300 hp and the Type R will have more than it has. Oh yeah, and it will definitely have a transmission.
Interesting update! First render I've seen of the hatchback. Good to hear we should still see it this year.
Isn't there a hatchback thread in the general section this should go in?
I can only give info based on the Accord. On it if you want to unlock all four doors with the keyfob you just push the unlock button twice. Likewise for closing all the windows put the key in the driver's door and click once then click and hold the second time. Don't remember which way you...
I'm surprised it has taken so long to get to the Civic but pleased Honda has done it. My 2003 Accord EX-L opens all 4 windows, my 2012 Accord EX-L opens the sunroof as well (as did the 2008 I used to have). It is great on a hot day. The temperature drops something like 30 degrees in minutes as...
You are kidding, right? It is only January 1st, not April 1st. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but really:
Mazda 3, Elantra, Impreza, Corolla, Cruze, Forte, Jetta, Altima ALL more attractive than the 2016 Civic?
Mazda 3 is somewhat stylish in the photos, at least the hatchback, but...
I don't own one yet and hadn't seen any on the road until yesterday. I was leaving the parking lot at work when I saw a black 2016 Civic coming towards me! I watched as the distinctive tail lights went by and then saw it turn into the parking lot of a building two down from the store where I...
If you look in the other threads you will find that Honda does intend to offer the 1.5t engine with a manual transmission, it just isn't ready yet. They put a lot of development into the 1.5t engine and developed a new CVT tailored specifically for it to meet their mileage and performance...
Reading up on this it appears you are right, although it is really hard to find a straight answer on how it works. I believe the early versions Honda used just went on miles but things have become more sophisticated.
That said, from what I read the sensors used for determining oil quality...
Also it is not based on sensors. The maintenance minder is based on the miles you drive. If you drive in particularly bad conditions (excessive heat and dirt for example) you might want to do maintenance more often. But for most of us the timing works just fine.
There is an error in the original that is copied here. Number 8 should be:
8 = Sedan EX with Honda Sensing / EX-TL with Honda Sensing
As number 4 is Sedan EX-T with Honda Sensing.
