Tracking this. I have the CARB version so no option for me. Any comments from Hondata on CVT reliability impact? More low end torque might over stress things I assume. Soo tempting to maybe sell mine and go non carb.... maybe if it could be mapped to the econ switch do leave it normal ramp most...
There’s a perceived wide variation in response to me that I think is really there. At times the car is much slower and at times it’s very fast. I think I captured that in 0-60 runs last year using a dyno app. One run was 5.7 sec! Others 7 ish secs. I suspect it’s all torque management...
They under designed that damn cvt. I love it most of the time but it’s down right dangerous when trying to merge or evade a possible collision. Gotta not floor it to keep torque management from slowing it up.
Only .4 inch 25 vs 25.4. And half inch on rim width recommendation, 8.5 vs 8. Gonna need tires by end of summer guessing 40k by then. Could push it more but I'm starting to notice more hydroplaning already as tread wears down.
Has anyone put this size on stock '17 sport hatch wheel? I'm looking for a wider non stretch traditional look that will help protect the wheels. Similar rolling diameter to stock tires.
Thnx
This isn't a FOB problem. I thought so at first but make sure to leave it out on the dresser at night. Common denominator is rain or snow and a low incidence rate, but my 2017 hatch has done this st least 6 times in heavy rain. Brought it to dealer and they pretend to try to fix left it out in...
So far no... lol because they are all drive through. I was trying to decide on flashing back to stock before bringing it in. I left it flashed for state inspection with no issues (CARB version) but I noticed the report had a how many miles since reset or something so I don't want to go back to...
I thought that when it first happened last year but it's happened like 4 times now, and always only in a heavy rain. Never when dry. I put the keys in the dresser to make sure that doesn't happen.
my windows all opened again during a heavy rain the other night. it's happened several times always during a rain, but before I bring it in does anyone know if the ECU controls the windows? There is probably a separate processor somewhere but just in case it does I don't want the flash in it if so.
Happy to help! About the torque table changes though, did they update the software to allow that on the CARB version? I pretty much can only choose 3 psi, 6psi and remove top speed limit(with no way to verify except find long straight road and go 130+... I haven't ). Not that I want to mess...
I'm thinking of 245/35s... I believe the contis come in that size and very close rolling diameter to the235/40s.
Was hoping someone has a picture. I don't like the stretch look and curb rash it causes.
Along the lines of a diff post about 265s, anyone mount 245s on stock sport hatch 18in wheels? I want to go a bit wider when I replace tires, mostly to reduce curb rash. I've never had so many curb hits but that stretch look I think is to blame. Wider proper width rubber should alleviate it...
I can't say that it has happened when it's not in my pocket. It did happen at work last year but may have happened in men's room which had windows near where I park... fob will lock doors from there I tested it once. I'm gonna look for a cover for it.
And thank slowride for the link, the...
Hmmm I should call the dealer then. It's happened three times in heavy rain and until this third time I've shrugged it off as me hitting the button inadvertently in my pocket. Like only when it rains....
So last night, and it seems to only happen during major downpours, my windows auto opened again. I believe this is an undocumented "feature", where holding the unlock button on the fob causes them to roll down. I don't recall finding it in the owners manual.
Has any one found a way to disable...
