  1. Squeaky noise when pressing clutch

My was doing the same thing for a few years now. And Honda tech did the same, just spray the shit ton of DW40 and it fixed it for a while. Sure enough it’s back. It does squeak/click from time to time and I just live with it. The only way to fix is to replace the slave cylinder. I haven’t done...
  2. Shift fork dust boot torn/replacement

Roger that. And when putting the slave back on the case, does the shaft needs to be depressed? Is it easier to access it from underneath or better from top removing air filter housing? Greatly appreciate your feedback
  3. Shift fork dust boot torn/replacement

I would need to remove the slave cylinder first, correct? Any difficulties with that? Also, I don’t know how long the boot was damaged for, any issues with dust that possibly made it’s way inside the housing?
  4. Shift fork dust boot torn/replacement

Has anyone had this issue on you MT civic? how critical the integrity of this boot is? and how hard is it to replace it?
  5. *video added* Clutch creaking when depressing/releasing/suspension squeaks tight turns at speed

well, my '17 LX has similar issue, it intermittently does make these sounds but a little less "severe". About a year ago or so I took it to the dealer and they have a really good tech there that actually confirmed my issue and worked on the car. Note, prior to going in, I've actually narrowed...
  6. Fuel economy decreased after 40k

how the hell do you know these are about to go??? what else is wrong with "fully stock" well maintained Civic?
  7. Did the dealer not change my oil?

once i've changed oil in my 1.5T and slightly overfilled. I've driven 30miles or so after the change and pulled some through the dip stick tube. it was as dark as the one I drained with 5k miles on it. hope this answers your question
  8. Disconnected negative battery terminal, car won’t turn on anymore.

messed up wiring perhaps causing a blown fuse?
  9. Dealer tech lied about performing tire rotation

Try to find the dealership you;d trust to do warranty repairs. For the basic maintenance - just do it yourself.
  10. CHECK WHATS IN YOUR OIL!!!

something doesn't add up here. first off, that milky mix looks like a coolant/oil mix. secondly, there's no way in the world the person pouring oil from into the engine via funnel doesn't notice it's not actually oil but water. yo u mustevbeen shitfaced or high AF not to notice that. so, I call...
  11. Clutch on idle

That's the sounds coming from the input shaft within the transmission, lots of moving parts and poor sound isolation. Have been hearing it for 50K now
  12. Katzkin Leather

I've installed Katzkin prior to picking up the car from the dealership. They had it to Katzkin shop and my cost was 1,200$. I went with all black with light colored stitching. Absolutely worth moneys I've paid and can certainly recommend it. I've got 50K on it now and leather is still in a great...
  13. Honda Care car rental...

they should've given a rental right away. At least, they always did for me when I was taking in both of my hondas (civic and pilot with honda care). Just go to another dealership
  14. My girlfriend hates my Si and I understand why

My wife is not with my 6MT hatch either. She never drove it and never plans to. Oh well, I don't mind it. She's got her pilot and happy with it. I am, on the other hand, not really enjoying driving the pilot. To each it's own.
  15. Ceramic coating- worth it?

it is worth it if done yourself. spending over 1k on it just doesn't make sense. if you're not comfortable DIYing just get yourself some Turtlewas ceramic spray or griots ceramic, 20$ and you're golden
  16. Please advise**Civic 1.5 EX-T hatchback knocking sound

I've been on 5w30 for 30K miles or so, all good. make a move and don't look back
  17. Clutch pedal creaking sound (dealer added grease once already last week)

nope, my car is completely stock (i'm not into tuning at all). as far as voiding the warranty - I guess you'll never know before you try, really depends on the dealer you go to. I'm not very knowledgeable on this question to tell you the truth
  18. Clutch pedal creaking sound (dealer added grease once already last week)

didn't pay a dime. Car was over 36K but I have an extended warranty till 2022 or 80K so nothing out of the pocket. Although, I don't think they even ran it through the system as they never even gave me the visit summary which was ok by me. I guess really depends on the dealer you go to
