  1. Audio Upgrade Advice

I'd like to install the DB652 front and rear in my 2017 LX Sedan, but as mentioned in this thread, Crutchfield says they don't fit. Not that Crutchfield is the be all end all, it's just that they're the best information I have available. Do you by chance have personal experience installing...
  2. 2017 Civic Hatchback LX ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Controls

FWIW, I recently went through this same process while installing a Pioneer AVH-2330NEX in my 2017 LX Sedan. I had the same issues with the ASWC-1 whereby it would not auto-program correctly but would recognize my stereo (as indicated by the number of times the LED flashed). Note: I did make...
  3. Oil Change Shield Cover Screws

:doh: We know you meant SHOUT ;).
  4. XSVI-1731-NAV harness?

I realize I'm way late on replying to your post, but can tell you that I have downloaded and installed the Access Updater app on my home computer and used it to flash both the XSVI and ASWC harness modules in advance of my stereo install. One of the modules required an update and one of them did...
  5. If your 10th Gen Civic was made in Canada READ THIS.

I also called Metra/Axxess to confirm your finding. I asked them why they haven't taken steps to clarify these wiring changes and strangely their response was this wasn't something they had tested or verified but was instead information that was provided to them by users or installers. All of...
  6. If your 10th Gen Civic was made in Canada READ THIS.

Yes but the stock LX radio has even less...none of the capabilities you list... nothing but a glorified MP3 player. The worst part is the audio...no bass response, killed by the DSP. The Sony XAV-AX100 is what I'm looking at to improve the audio plus bring all the other capabilities of the...
  7. If your 10th Gen Civic was made in Canada READ THIS.

And here I insisted on mine be made north of the border.
  8. Center caps for my steelies

As stated in the title, I'd like to find center caps for my steelies. The hub caps are nice, but I think the retro look of exposed steelswith chrome acorn lug nuts is far better. I've been refinishing my steelies with gloss black and several coats of clear. The only thing missing is some center...
  9. Whats on your keychain?

Sorry for the delayed response. Didn't realize I wasn't logged in. I bought the small rings at my local Ace Hardware. I just measured one quick and they are about 5/8" or 16mm diameter.
  10. CVT in snow driving

Sorry but spell checker wouldn't have baved your sacon that time. You fell victim to our old friend Otto Korrekt.
  11. CVT in snow driving

Yes...then you'll be experiencing more of a true reaction between your hand and foot inputs and the slippery road surface.
  12. CVT in snow driving

Traction Control on or off is going to make a big difference regarding CVT behavior. Kind of surprised nobody has brought it up.
  13. What is this for?

Which models don't have a backup camera? I have a base model sedan and it came with one...
  14. Heated mirrors

    I guess not. :bump:
  15. Remove Instrument Cluster Visor

Trying to figure this out. Goal: Find and eliminate dashboard rattle on far left side that occurs during cold weather. Based on what I'm seeing, I need to first remove the visor over the instrument cluster. Once this is off, I'll have access to the top of the dashboard and the suspected...
  16. Best looking Civic Body Style (Sedan vs Coupe vs. Hatchback)

Give me the tail of the Coupe on my Sedan and I'd be in Nirvana.
  17. Best looking Civic Body Style (Sedan vs Coupe vs. Hatchback)

I own a sedan, but think the coupe looks the best. The hatch looks too overweight IMO. I waited for the hatch to come out before deciding whether to buy that or the sedan. Decision was fairly easy after seeing.
  18. Vents next to rear brake light

The vents on the rear package tray are for air flow. Pretty much standard in the auto industry. Air comes into the car through the cowl under the windshield, flows through the heater fan, then the vents into the cabin. Once the air enters the cabin, it has to get back out somewhere. It goes...
  19. Whats on your keychain?

Yes, I agree about the hole in the key being too small to allow a normal size ring to be used. A normal size ring will bind in the hole and not allow free movement. My solution? I bought really small rings and put them on my car keys of this type, then threaded them onto a larger ring.
