Hi, can anyone confirm if the 9th Civic Si wheel clears the caliper of the 10th gen Si? I've got both 2012 and 2013 wheels on my current Si and would like to keep one set for winter on my next Si (10th gen).
Those 2012 wheels look good! I prefer classic wheel design as oppose to the two tone...
Hey! Let us know if those wheels fits! I really like the design. They did need a spacer to fit on a 2012 Si. It was a matter of spoke design, the specs being the same as the 2012 Si.
If anyone can confirm that the 2012-2013 Si 17'' wheel fits on the 10th gen Si, it would be nice to know too!
For deep snow, sure, but we are talking about very small difference here. Steel wheels vs alloy is about budget & aesthetics mostly. I've found used 17'' wheels from a 2013 Si for 350$. If kept in good shape, they'll still be worth a few buck when I want to sell them.
For new wheels, i've had...
With a 225, the speedometer difference would be 1.77%. That is well within the acceptable range (about less than 3%). The width is closer to stock and there is a selection of 18 different models for snow tires in 225-50-17 and 8 choices for 215-50-17. Both would work fine, but I would prefer a...
Yes, I also had 16'' RSX wheels on my 9th gen Si (they looked awsome in gunmetal grey). They would clear the brake caliper, but only by a few millimeters. I previously bought used 8th 17'' Si, but they did not clear the front brake caliper (because of the shape of the spoke and the brake...
The 2017 Si whee is 8 inch wide with 50mm offset
A 40 mm offset means that the wheel would be "push out" 10mm closer to the fender. I would surely work with a narrower wheel and tire.
A 225 tire on 7.5 rim would stick out 3.7 mm more, but would 16.4mm away from the struts. (see link)...
