Personally, I like that our Si's have different headlights than most of the other Civics on the road, helps them standout a little. Wasn't planning on using the built-in nav much but having to plug-in for CarPlay means I don't always have it active so nice to have built-in nav at those times...
Ya, the built-in navigation gets used a lot more than I thought it would. It's nice to have navi without having to plug in the phone.
The seat material isn't my favorite either. I wouldn't necessarily want leather but alcantara would've been nice, or something less clothy.
Agree with the...
After 1000+ kms my perspective has changed a bit. Lack of a hatchback still sucks but I'm happy to have a little extra rear leg room.
The external design has grown on me, especially in Modern Steel Metallic... the black plastic and grey paint complement each other very well and the wing fits...
I look forward to reading how that goes. Very cool idea ;) More info on that would be much appreciated if/when you get a chance to try it. Curious to hear what app you like and if the phone's speaker is enough or if an external is needed (I assume yes).
We Canadians have even less hardware to worry about... no TPMS here. Probably didn't get them here because all the road salt in winter causes problems for the sensors.
Ya, our pricing sucks but the feature list here is pretty good. The LEDs look sweet and the nav has been more useful than I thought. Its handy being able to see the nav summary on the driver information interface while something else is on touchscreen. Also useful if I dont happen to have my...
Dealer in the Halifax area claims the Type R's are here now. They said no official price yet but guess was $42k+ $1595 freight + 15% tax = $50,134 ouch.
Ya slightly, but there'll be times I can't be bothered to plug in my phone no doubt. That and some areas here have spotty cell data coverage so it'll be useful then. I could certainly live without it but it's nice to have at times.
That explains why Si hatchbacks weren't made in North America but not why Honda Europe didn't take the specs for the Si and build them there. The reasons I think they didn't are:
- couldn't hit the same price point as the sedan/coupe (because of export/transport costs) without losing some...
Not seeing any Canadian reviews yet... guess we're a little light on the auto journalists or the embargo is longer... which would make no sense but doesn't mean Honda wouldn't do it.
Actually the Canadian models have power seats with built-in massagers...
hehe, jk :stirthepot:... but I'd be seriously pissed if I was in the US though and couldn't get LED headlights and nav on the Si.
