You should be able to still turn on Adb in the developer settings and restore the file using that? I'm guessing factory reset didn't do anything.

I've been using Torque Pro, but I don't think a bluetooth obdii works, I've just been using the wifi one.

@mikealanni Just wondering will this remove all of the operation restrictions while driving permanently? Not worried too much about the video while driving, but more so about being able to use the notification drawer/keyboard while driving. It would make using Spotify/Waze way easier. Thank you!

Looks cool, but I know with EX+ trims the headunit controls a bunch of setting of the car such as the walk away lock, trip meters, and editing the instrument panel. I don't think the aftermarket headunit would be worth it if it can't.

Your following the guide on xda right? He has bat files that you can run on windows to root your head unit. And chmod is run within adb shell. All those commands are run to modify the file permissions on the headunit.
