I know dude, that's why I said EURO TYPE-R... it's the only one out there right now, but only build to test for the new global model. So I expect everything to be similar, just tweaked for the new one. After 10 years working for Honda here I should be okay with predictions...
Ok guys, I've read some discussions over here about some technical specs of the Type-R. I've made some screenshots of a presentation from a Honda R&D employee just before the launch of the euro Type-R. I'm probably not allowed to post this, so don't tell anyone I did ;-)
It's about V-TEC...
This is the official post:

The Type-R is fast at every speeds. Only problem for me was: you really can't drive slow in this car..... That's definately an advantage for the S2000 for me. You really have to push and keep it in the V-TEC area to be fast, but the Type-R is fast in every gear and at pretty much every RPM. And...
The normal mode is 'okay', the R-mode is crazy. My tooth fillings almost fell out on a rough road ;-) I hardly ever used the R-mode, only on the circuit and a very clean winding road, but we don't have those much here in holland...
I think you are wrong there. I owned a S2000 for years, and a new Type-R as well. The thrill of V-TEC kicking in never gets old or boring, but you have to drive faster then allowed to get that thrill. Also, although a S2000 has lots of grip (I've raced with one as well, I'll ad a picture below)...
True! Although I always loved the magic seats in our euro civic, for a better weight distribution it is a better choice!
Tires are always difficult with Honda I think. I never understood why they went for the continentals on the euro Type-R. They always had Bridgestone (Japanese) tires, for the...
I spoke to a R&D employee of the current Euro Type-R, and he said they didn't get the maximum horsepower out of this k20c engine yet. So I'm expecting an increase of about 10/15 horsepower minimum, which will help set a better lap time. The car is going to be lighter and stiffer due to the new...
Friend of mine is bringing this car to SEMA, Euro Type-R he bought from me with some nice goodies. If you want to know how the new one sits, I'm pretty sure they'll keep the seats in the 10th gen.
I've taken the current Type-R out to track days a lot, and i've never had issues with the brakes. These brembo's are VERY good, and they've used some tricks to get more cooling air to them then normal civic's. I've never overheated them, and i've always used original brake fluid. These aren't...
18 inch winter wheels fit on the current Type-R, but you can't go any smaller than that. I'm using 2010 Legend 18 inch wheels for winter.
And a little bird at Honda R&D told me that the 20 inch wheels will be an option, 19 inch standard.....
Looks like they used the same seats as (my) current Type-R. Which are the best seats i've ever sat on! They will not change much of the interior compared to the normal civic. It will get a different steering wheel though, probably red and black leather wrapped, and flattened at the bottom...
I've worked for Honda for about 10 years, and I would easily swap them for 17 inch for you, even with a little discount. It would make a showroom model easier to sell with 18 inch for me. But I think showroom models en stock is totally different here in Holland.....
The Civic Tourer (stationwagon) I had, already had that. On the tourer it was only for the rear, for when you had a lot of stuff in the back. You can change it into comfort, normal of dynamic. I had 19 inch Type-R wheels on it, so i normally drove in comfort, because it was already pretty stiff.
