  1. NST Lightweight Crank Pulley

I said a fool would do xyandZ never called you a fool. My apologies.
  2. NST Lightweight Crank Pulley

Your anecdotal experience is near worthless. The OEM spends 10s of millions each year to put a harmonic damper one engine. Just because you in an opposed motor, low RPM, application (less harmonics) did not fail the engine, does not mean that crank harmonics fail bearings and the more stress...

  4. 2016 Civics fitted with 9th gen Si wheels

got a set for $260 with curb rash, polished it away (now they need to be kept wax as there is no clear coat), no big deal. I took 1mm off the caliper guide, bout of .5mm was casting flash.... no big deal either. but if you are paranoid, my answer has been the same for 40 years now, bone stock...
  5. New Civic Type R Feature Video

Yep, it would seem only complete fan boys are allowed. One can never say Honda picked the ugliest body, Honda has taken more than two decades to release it, no, any negativity on the R has to be from died in the wool hater "chevy" guys. I liked Honda, I own a ITR, 9th gen and 10th gen. I can...
  6. New Civic Type R Feature Video

Great, never said I was a god, unless you know some hot young girls; but I know what a straw-man argument is and you just want to spout off that is you that are god among race car drivers.. amen bro your a god. I don't own any "turn key" cars, I leave that to professional instructors...
  7. New Civic Type R Feature Video

Feel free to post your 0-60 times with your fictional AWD, a stock camaro is rated at 4.0 0-60 and magazine times show the best of 3.9 seconds... that is bone stock on a plain SS. Not some stripped out STI on 4 wheel drag radials on a prep track. But please post your street 0-60. LOL Must...

    I got a supercharged 2015 SI, a sleeved 2.1 liter 275 HP all motor Type R too... http://honda-tech.com/appearance-build-threads-122/my-b20-build-2882822/
  9. New Civic Type R Feature Video

You are referring to a Type R owner, a Civic SI owner, a 2016 Civic sedan owner. Hate? more like complete disappointment with Honda, first a weak SI 1.5T and now picking IMO the ugliest 10th gen body style and even now it ain't like you can actually buy it. This is far too little, too late...
  10. New Civic Type R Feature Video

Sorry if you can only listen to fanboys. The car is way under spec for a 2018 model. My opinion is it is ugly and Sebion 4 door Civic is much nicer. It is more than my opinion that as a streetcar it sports some dismal specs. HP about equal to what a STI had a decade ago, 50 HP below the...
  11. New Civic Type R Feature Video

This is a forum, I can say hate it. It is really horrible looking. For the price and the performance this is a SAD excuse for something that is not even out yet. 2 decades for this beast. LOL, here is my near stock SS last year: It is 100 HP more now with simple bolt ons and a tune...
  12. New Civic Type R Feature Video

The only bye a CTR will see from me is my exhaust pipes. LOL 20 years waiting for this, and Honda has now slipped to the Acura level of offering pathetic ugly cars for absorbent prices and abysmal availability. Honda really had to try very hard for me to give up on the CTR and yep it...
  13. New Civic Type R Feature Video

looks like I just saved 35 to 40 K, that type R is awful ugly, can't say how much I hate it. So one more type R for somebody else. I'll stick to my 1998 Type R, my supercharged 2015 SI, my 2016 4dr Civic with beauty parts and my 2016 Camaro SS, I'm so completely disappointed not only...
  14. Saw 1.5 liter turbo VTEC at the Airport on display

Honda has been basically marketing VTC as VTEC world wide. I thought maybe US patent laws et al prevented them from lying to the US consumers. Looks like I was wrong. There is no VTEC on the 1.5. VTEC has to have lift or it ain't VTEC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VTEC Just like my last...
  15. Perspective on the Civic Si 1.5T engine choice

word... not that the primary island is below one bar 14.7 PSI... it starts getting hot really fast after that.
  16. Perspective on the Civic Si 1.5T engine choice

I had a chance to actually look at a Honda 1.5T engine parts. Looking at the need (not wants) and customer wants. It looks like IMO that the block can be bored to 76mm and the stroke to 97mm which would yield a 1760cc engine. I'd speculate 220 HP / 210 HP would be doable with properly...
