I own both and love them for different reasons, I purchased my S new in 2002 and drive it occasionally in the summer and nothing can replace the driving experience I get from it, top down is the best. As for the R, its my DD and I love it especially when its being pushed, the power and handling...
Thanks for the thorough explanation! I was planning on using our heat gun at work, but it sounds like it could do some damage. Maybe I could drill a few small holes in the emblem and pull it off some how. Any other recommendations?
Not yet, but considering to peel off the emblem and purchase a new one. Have the techs try to removed the emblem from the grill and see how easy it is, let me know, thanks!
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted some feed back on this idea I had, I think the images speak for them selves. Is this something some of you would consider? I could probably offer this for roughly $50-$100 approx. if anyone would be interested in having this done to their Cargo Cover.
Just an update for everyone on this, I asked my local Honda dealership to cost out a new front emblem. The issue is that the emblem was designed not to be taken off real easily due to theft concerns, so the entire grill needs to be removed in order to change the emblem. In one instance it was a...
I didn't take any pictures, but had a look from underneath the engine bay, it started from the top somewhere is my best guess. I'll try and get a more detailed explanation tomorrow.
Hi Everyone,
Brought my CTR in for it's first oil change on Saturday and the techs realized that there was a coolant leak in the engine bay. They reported the issue to Honda directly and Honda asked that they test the system with some measurement instruments that were sent to the dealership...
Noticed this the other day after giving my Type R a wash...
Seems someone tried to pry off the emblem and ended up cracking it and decided to give up since it was damaged. Should I bother replacing it or leave it so the next guy doesn't even bother?
I like the look of the 245 tire, and the handling is much better, they are the correct size tire for this wheel, we will see when the snow comes, but I'm not too worried. Had the wheel been ordered as a 18x8, I think the 235 would have been fine. I provided my tire shop the wheel I liked and...
With a set of great summer tires, these wheels would be great, they are actually a little wider then the stock 20's and align perfectly with the outside fenders. FYI, the OEM Honda emblems had to be cut a bit, silicone was needed to have them stay in the wheel. So every time the tires need to be...
As the weather is getting colder & messy, washing the Type R by hand becomes difficult, has anyone taken their car through a basic carwash? Just wondering if it would be safe for the rear wing, touch less washes don't do a great job and would love to know if anyone has tried? Thanks!
Just made the switch this morning, here's the setup. Any thoughts?
