This is great. I signed up for a couple of sessions at some driving school, to get access to a stick shift car, not really for a lesson but just to rehash. I don't remember how much but it was not cheap.
I used edmunds.com. I selected the exact specs of the car, checked off 3 dealers in my area, and clicked submit. Minutes after I got a seemingly good quote from each dealer. The emails looked like automated emails. Then minutes later, each of the dealers sent me a personal email (not automated)...
I learned to drive with a manual, but my first two cars were automatic. Then I was intrigued in owning a manual because I got a vague recollection that it was kinda fun. I called up some driving school to see if they had a manual. I signed up for few hours lesson and it was confirmed that...
Bluetooth. I don't use android auto ever because plugging it in is too inconvenient LOL and last time I tried I could only browse some, not all, of my music collection.
Favorite: auto unlock and auto lock on walk away
Least: android auto. Was looking forward to using it a lot but it's not usable for me. (have to plug in, don't have access to all music, can't choose "no toll roads" on google maps)
I traded in my SUV for a sedan and yes daily commute became more pleasant.
I don't have a family though. You need to do the math and figure out how often you actually need a pick up. I pay for delivery services. Last I bought a 55 inch TV from Amazon, it was delivered straight to my living room.
Japanese food, japanese food, and japanese food LOL! Good quality sushi and japanese beef are so accessible. I regret not overstuffing myself when I was there.
Last minute? Do you have to buy the car by certain date?
I myself won't contact the dealers until I get my pre-approved loan, have my trade-in appraised by carmax, and my down payment ready. I will then use edmunds.com to get quotes. When I do that, the dealers tend to race to the bottom*, that...
People value different things differently. I have the EX-T. Turn back back the time and I would get the EX and spend the change on spoiler and other things.
It's possible, from beginning, they had no dealer to swap car with and the dealer tried to bought some time. The fact that they were not responsive and transparent, I would have moved on if I had a choice.
In my case long ago, they ended up offering a different color because they never had my...
Dealers will have fine print like expiration date, "you must finance with us," etc in the email.
It's never hurt to ask, when the quote already expired, "Can I still get the car at that price?"
You have to ask "I'm financing with other bank. Can I get the car at that price?"
You have to say...
I used edmunds. Edmunds gave me quotes, but then the dealers themselves gave me lower price than edmunds' by at least $1000.
I would definitely recommend everyone to not settle with edmunds' quote.
edmunds.com (or truecar, etc)
When they know you come from edmunds.com, they know you're getting quotes from other dealerships as well. For dealers, to quote a high price is to lose the game.
Customers are idiots, except some of us.
