  2. Long absent, time flies.....

I have returned! Don't know where else to post that I have splurged on a chip, and a K&N air filter. Can't tell much difference, so far, maybe because I'm paying attention, it seems a little quicker.
  3. Hidden storage tray...

At least the meme is good. The second generation MINI Cooper has a hidden compartment big enough for a Glock, so this thread was a disappointment.
  4. WAR ON RODENTS

I ripped out the hood insulation, installed 'Quite Ride Sound Deadening Heat Barrier' from Jegs, it's four 12" x 12" black mats with foil, very sticky adhesive. So that's one less yummy thing for the varmits.
  5. Long absent, time flies.....

    Thank you for posting this!
  6. Third brake light cover falling off

Dredging up my old thread. I see others have issues with this. I gave up, still have a black kite rod holding my crap flexible plastic box up. Now I'm curious to see what the GenXI 3rd light looks like, did they learn a lesson?
  7. KYB shocks experience? '16 Coupe (no Bilstein, Koni available)

I have already read the Bilstein and Koni threads (looking like unicorn enhancements are easier to get), found KYB are available. First off, is there a difference between 2016 and following years? Found some sellers on eBay selling all four corners, in the neighborhood of $240 (free shipping)...
  8. New Shocks

Hello from north of you. Looks like you also hit a dead end.
  9. Bilstein B6 Struts and Shocks

Okay..... searched and all I found was limited to eBay, one seller had only the Left front strut, another two sellers had just the front pair, no rear shocks. No luck at all on Amazon. So I would say forget it.
  10. Long absent, time flies.....

I managed to find my way to what I needed.... ? Looking for what alternative to OEM shocks are, Bilstein is out of the question, but KYB is.
  11. How rare or common to spot a Type R in your general area?

I'm surprised, almost never. Lots of people with money in my town, but they prefer G-wagens and Bentleys.
  12. hood liner insulation removal?

Rodents LOVE eating that fuzzy insulation!! ? I don't have a garage. Twice now, had a varmint start to build a nest under the hood. Chewed through the small wires at the battery terminal too, must love the environmentally friendly soy based wire conduit and/or insulation. I have ordered a...
  13. Bilstein B6 Struts and Shocks

The only reason I got on this forum, was to see about Bilstein shocks. Doesn't look good at all! I just passed "only" 50,000, the stealer said mine are "sweating", and it feels like it.
  14. Long absent, time flies.....

Accidentally got logged into the Gen11 forum. So this forum is dead now?
  15. New 2016 Honda Civic CVT EX-T (Coupe) 1.5 Turbo Owner

Hello, and welcome! I have 46,918 miles on mine, just paid off. You were smart to buy used. I can't help you out with mods, but now that I commented, will lurk and learn.
  16. So about those gas shortages

Without going political, this article is interesting about the ransomware hack. Don't be surprised if the electrical grid gets hacked, so EVs would be at their mercy too. Arizona is not included, other than prices rising. A Closer Look at the DarkSide Ransomware Gang
  17. OEM Exhaust Tips for Coupes

~Bumpity bump~ Now that my car is paid off, wanted to personalize something. Found those "KIT FINISHER" tips on eBay. Seems like a catback exhaust system is either junk, or costs a mint!
  18. Long absent, time flies.....

Maybe I should revise my signature. Have this '68 now. When I want to shift, I drive this 4 on-the-floor.
  19. Long absent, time flies.....

Been forever since I logged in. Almost 5 years, 45,819 miles so far. Keep getting the extended warrantee calls. Running great, with a few annoying things to whine about: 1. The hanging cigar box third brake light, the prop rod has worked. Is there a kit to convert the center of the...

You dawg! If you want to do track time, I did this with my first MINI Cooper, it was a blast. Good way to use up tires and brakes in a weekend. http://www.new.proautosports.com
