Need to make an update to an Arizona dealer, Surprise Honda. According to their Facebook page, their Type R was sold to the owner. Here is where it takes a turn. Now they are accepting offers and it will be sold when he finally feels like letting it go. Talk about a low piece of trash.
If a dealer says, "We are getting X of them in" or "Thanks for the deposit, we ordered the white one for you.", they are lying to you.
I understand the frustration of the game of buying a limited production Honda like this. Every dealership is different. Some do deposits, some don't. Some...
You know that Honda is teasing us with the "Spring release" don't you? Honda isn't going to drop the Type R before the Si according to my sources. June/July is a realistic time frame.
ZdH,
The Arizona rep that works with the fleet manager you are working with to purchase your CTR is the same rep that communicated to us that the release has been delayed until June-July.
Has the fleet manager said anything to you about the delay?
We received an email yesterday from the regional representative. CTR has been pushed back to July release date. CTR isn't being released prior to to Si. Because the Si had to be delayed, it is messing things up for the bad boy.
This isn't a surprise. Even the 2015 Honda Fit got delayed. I...
airkizr, please do your homework on the Honda product you are selling. From looking at your other posts in this thread you must be new to the lineup of Honda's vehicles. Keep in mind you are in a place with very informed enthusiasts. There is enough fake news going around these days.
I do our allocation. Most likely every dealership will get 1 to start with like they did the Black Edition Ridgeline. We will not get to pick the color either, just like the first 2 hatchbacks we got in.
As far as price goes, we find out when you find out. Around a few weeks before they...
Just some advice if you decide to wait a year for the Type R. Pay your car off ASAP. Want to see your credit score soar into the 700's? Pay it off. Reduce your debt. It could be the difference between a 2% rate and a 7% rate.
You will have no problem getting approved. Even with $0 down. $10,000 down and 48 months will get you a better rate than if you only put $0 down and did 72 months. 670 credit score isn't great, but it's not bad either. Another piece that gets looked at is your monthly gross income. As long...
My advice is to wait until you get a chance to figure out if you would rather get the hatch. If you fall in love with the hatch, the great price you get on the sedan doesn't mean much.
The console lighting kit is so cool, but I would stay away from the interior illumination. It's not bright enough to see. It is also tied into your dimmer switch. So when you twist it to turn down the brightness of your dash/instrument cluster, it also dims your interior illumination.
Also, check the fine print on the Honda website when building your own Civic. The prices you see on the accessories don't include dealer installation or tax.
Keep in mind that the TrueCar pricing states in stock only. If a dealer is nice enough to not raise the price to locate one then you found a very generous dealer. Most will raise the price.
