well you should start with putting some sort of wax or sealant on the car. Unless you paid for the paint treatment/service, you are mucking up your clear coat. I can promise you that you will cause swirls when you wash and dry your car so better to put down a protection layer now.

right.... my brother in law's pickup wheels were upwards of $600 each. Totally could see a wheel lock for something like that.

For my situation, it would mean I could get a better look from behind before making decisions in the parking lot, without having to go into reverse. It would also make it easier to see out my back window since the civic has such a sloped back window. .
