  1. K20C2 SEES BOOST PRESSURE

Fantastic, thank you! Do you know if the engine is a direct bolt in or requires custom mounts?
  2. K20C2 SEES BOOST PRESSURE

Have you heard anything of a ballpark cost or parts list? This swap has been on my mind, but I don't think there were any resources available when searching recently. I could be wrong, though.
  3. K20C2 SEES BOOST PRESSURE

Thanks for the reply -- that sounds like what I discovered during my research, as well. I haven't quite given up hope yet after hearing the K20C2 is going to be around for at least the duration of this current generation of Civics. Maybe the market demand will increase... til then, might have to...
  4. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Finally received the @RV6 black ceramic coated catted down pipe for my '16 NA Civic coupe. Took it on a test drive and did some pulls. Pretty much feels the same, maybe a bit more responsive...slightly different exhaust tone, but nothing crazy. The install process was incredibly easy with the...
  5. 2.0L Ignition Coil - Suspicious Substance

That is what I read on another site, about the rust. Feels and looks kind of like copper anti-seize that has been exposed to heat for a while. Wipes off easily. Everything else seems normal, but I may pull the plug out and look at the plug tubes for oil leakage, per a friend's suggestion.
  6. 2.0L Ignition Coil - Suspicious Substance

Hey, thanks for weighing in. That was my thought as well, having applied anti-sieze compound to countless studs over the years... I am the original owner from day one and this was the first time(s) they have ever been pulled.
  7. 2.0L Ignition Coil - Suspicious Substance

Hi all, I recently replaced the stock ignition coils on my 16 LX with MSD Blasters and noticed a red substance on only one of the OEM parts (leftmost cylinder). Upon pulling the plugs yesterday, I noticed the same substance on the MSD coils. I searched the forum here a bit, but couldn't find...
  8. 2016 Civic LX 6-Speed - Front-end Clicking While Turning

@imperialgrunt / @Locksedan Yikes... sorry, I didn't get any notifications of your replies and just recently started using CivicX again. My bad!! It was a combination of driver side wheel hub and inner steering shaft.

  10. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Today I encouraged my engine to engage VTEC a number of times, each of which was quite satisfying. 2016 LX Coupe - K20C2 mated to 6-speed manual. Intake, MSD coils, KTuner flashed. Investigating and pursuing cams + valve train.
  11. K20C2 OE Camshaft Regrind

I am glad you mentioned this. After doing more research on the topic, it appears this is a recurring trend with Ti retainers. My initial perception of anything Ti is "enhanced durability". However, it seems Ti in this context is more about weight reduction. The consideration of longevity has...
  12. K20C2 OE Camshaft Regrind

Thanks @Boosted_01_R. What's the reason for steel retainers over Ti?
  13. K20C2 OE Camshaft Regrind

@4piston, This is great news. Is there any way to get a list for notification when they are available? Thanks!
  14. K20C2 OE Camshaft Regrind

No specifics yet on pricing or specs -- they said a profile of the cams will be performed upon receipt. Hopefully we will know more about what to expect once they have the cams. Surprisingly, cams look to be around $150 each, which isn't terrible. I plan to have them shipped over soon so we can...
  15. K20C2 OE Camshaft Regrind

Hey everyone, Brian Crower has advised they are able to regrind K20C2 OE cams to a stage 2 spec. I asked what other valve train modifications they recommend to accompany the regrind, but provided no info. My understanding is that valve springs may be required, at minimum. Research has...
  16. Catless downpipe k20c2

Part of me wonders if the lack of chatter about tuning this engine has some relation to the fact it's used for Formula 4 Championship racing. It seems like such a great power plant with a ton of potential.
  17. K20C2 SEES BOOST PRESSURE

This may be a bit off-topic, but is there an exhaust manifold compatible with the K20C2 which is capable of mating up to a turbo? There are hardware level questions I have yet to see answered which should probably be addressed as much as the software level concerns. Back in the day I had a D15B...
  18. 2.0L CivicX 2.0L Tuning - BIG Gains Confirmed For The Second Time

My Ktuner arrived last Friday and I was able to apply the tune that evening. Once I figured out the process, the flash takes just under eight minutes or so via MacBook Pro running Parallels. With an AEM intake + heat shield, my IAT was at max 104F while sitting at a stoplight in the St Louis...
  19. 2016 Civic LX 6-Speed - Front-end Clicking While Turning

Hey all, I've had my Civic for just shy of a year now and noticed within the past month that when turning and accelerating there is a fairly noticeable clicking sound coming from the front end. It sounds almost exactly like when a CV boot is torn, the grease has come out, and the axle is...
